Personally, Finn thought it would be nice if he found out that this place didn't end up making him any more different than he was supposed to be. He was that stereotypical jock who just happened to enjoy singing and dancing. Wasn't that different enough? Even here, in a strange place like Siren's Port, it seemed to make him different (at least that was how he took the reactions to his admission to some that he could, in fact, sing.
