"Y-yeah." Kurt stumbled over the word, humiliated. He poked around at his food some more, his cheeks burning.

"I'm--going to take it back. It was so silly. I bought it before I lose my memories, when I--you know. Wasn't sure what you wanted. I guess my plan was to make everything better by asking you to marry me. Like I could promise so many things to you."

A tear slipped down his cheek and he frantically brushed it away. "It's so stupid. It's even dumber than what Finn did, and-- I'm going to take it back, I promise."
