It used to be writing. Now I just want to go home, and ironically, I've been doing a lot of writing just to see my wife again. Here though, not so much. It has me at a standstill.

It's always been second nature for me to write. Then I lost it and I became a shadow of myself. I got it back again and it saved my life, but knowing that I can't do anything with it here is a bit disconcerting. [And he hopes it doesn't become his downfall again. Which, all things considered, it shouldn't. But it's a habit he's become attached to again.]

I wrote a little of everything; crime thrillers were a particular popular genre, but now I seem to be stuck on horror.
