He'd learned not to look behind him; that only slowed you down and it was better to look ahead instead of back, but Alan could hear her coming. He could even- even sense her presence near without the need of his ears assuring him that there was something giving chase.
His heart was pounding as he continued to spring forward. Unfortunately Alan didn't really know which building was darkness-proof and he'd come to the realization that he'd probably have to face off with this creature eventually.
