There had to be a way to solve the mystery of who was sending all of those messages without asking outright. She didn't have any reason to suspect foul intentions -- not yet, at least. Her sent responses were broad enough, but ... other than the very first text, so were the received questions.

And, perhaps worst of all, she was curious.
Keeping her destination in mind, Aqua kept a casual pace.

There. A student would certainly reply one way ... a co-worker, another. And that would probably be enough to lure out the butt of whatever joke a prankster would have been waiting to deliver.

Otherwise, she might as well have been having a conversation with a stranger while waiting in line at the market, or some other such mundane circumstance.
