Once her eyes locked on to that man, they never left. But she still held her NV, keyboard open, message screen on standby.
Without ever looking down, she sent one more message, just to be certain. Aqua couldn't afford to check her punctuation or even if she was spelling a coherent word ... but that wasn't the point. The point was to send a message and observe whether she'd hear a chime from that man's direction -- or if he'd even look at all. Perhaps in her heart of hearts, she already knew that she was making eye contact with the person who had been contacting her for all this time. Perhaps ... she felt foolish for allowing herself to be followed. Perhaps she just needed an excuse to test his intentions.
