It would have never been a wise venture to assume that just because Aqua's back was against the wall meant that she was cornered. The delay in her approach was a result of the extenuating circumstances; Furthermore, there was no immediate threat perceived -- no weapons drawn that she could see, no energy disturbances or rises in magical enhancements that she could sense within her capabilities.

"Three months."

Now, however, she took one catlike, calculated step forward, followed by another, and then one more before she stopped. Just closing a bit of the distance ...

"I've been here for three months."

What difference does that make? The sudden, rising urge to run away seized her for just a moment. Did she ... really even want to know?
