[Stein has seen all sorts of interesting souls recently, and Teito's is no exception. The boy is probably the person Stein's looking for, given the odd-shaped parcel in his lap, and that's the only reason Stein bothers to pay attention to him, to turn on the intensely focused stare of Soul Perception and examine the boy.

Then, a smile and wave as he walks over, and points at the weapons.]

Are those for me?

[Teito watches the birds take flight with the stranger's approach then lets the small smile fade. He gives the man a considering look - though his gaze catches and lingers on the screw in the man's head - before he pushes to his feet and nods slowly.]

They might be. Are you Mister Stein?

Doctor Stein, yes. Nice to meet you.

[Teito blinks at the correction, then gives a polite nod - though his eyes do stray back to the thing in the man's head quite on their own.]

I stand corrected, Doctor Stein.

[That said, he lifts the package and holds it out towards the man expectantly, the weapons within.]

It's a compromise - I couldn't find a scythe at all and the tonfa were more decorative and expensive, but these are similar to something from my own world. I guess you could call them bladed tonfa.

[Stein's used to the continual amounts of absurd attention people pay to the screw. It doesn't bother him.

He takes the package, unwraps it, and... well.]

Impressive.

[He takes one of them, holds it in his right hand to test the weight and balance. It's going to be strange, fighting with an inanimate weapon, to deal with something of this size and weight that can't respond to his fighting style and any problems that might arise during a fight. To fight using something that isn't alive, that doesn't have a soul.]
