Who: Nill, Ahiru, the Auto-Responder and Jake
When: Backdated waaaay back to the night of the 4th
Where: Jake and the AR's apartment
Summary: After all their friends from home disappeared, some of Jake's friends come to watch movies and eat food with the boys... well, one of them anyways.
Warnings: Just language probably.

[ Jake had kept true to his word and bustled about the apartment at breakneck speed trying to tuck everything away, and having formerly lived with Roxy and Dirk there sure was a lot of stuff to tuck away. He had avoid touching any of his friend's rooms, feeling more than a little uncomfortable with the fact that they were now empty of their former occupants, and as far as he knew would be for some time now...

But that was exactly the sort of gloomy line of thinking Jake was trying to avoid right now. He had friends coming over and there was no reason to drag them down with some morose feelings about missing friends. Besides, he'd been alone before he came to the island, he could live alone again. And he was hardly alone anyways! This was a bustling city full of people, and if he was going to cry over a little spilt milk (or missing friends) then he could sure as hell find something more productive to do with his time.

Like cleaning! Or more finding every out of place object he could and shoving it all into his room for the time being. He figured he'd sort it all out later once the guests were gone. For the time being the rooms (all the rooms) were completely off limits.

Now to just wait for the other two to arrive. ]

[ Jake looks beside himself with excitement. It's been awhile since other people have been in his apartment now, not since his friends mysteriously disappeared, and considering he'd held off for a bit on mentioning they weren't around it meant he'd been alone here for a few days now.

Well, alone except for the Auto Responder, and considering the Responder could harass him just as well from hundreds of years in the future as he could when he was seated right on Jake's face it wasn't exactly the same. Jake had spent years and years by himself, and he'd acclimated to living with other people pretty quickly.

He hadn't really been keen to give that up.

He looks back and forth between the two girls, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet before throwing his arms open a little theatrically. ]

And I think introductions are in order now. Nill, this is my friend and colleague, Ahiru. And Ahiru this is my good buddy, Nill.

[reassures]

[Jake, you are adorable. It's a little sad that he's been here by himself for so long - back when most of Nill's friends had gone or moved out, the first few nights were the worst, in her opinion - but just the fact that he's so happy to have two people here... it's almost a bit infectious.

The smile that spreads across her face comes more easily, as she pulls her NV out of a pocket on her coat with one hand and holds it up for Ahiru to see.]

[There's a smile on her face as well as she watches him rock by and forth as well. That happiness is definitely affecting, even if it's hardly a difficult task to buoy her mood in the first place. She giggles as she throws his arms wide open, walking a bit closer to see the girl's NV.]

It's nice to meet you, too!

[But - oh, hadn't Nill been the name of the girl she'd talked to on the network after she told everyone that Davesprite left? There's a blink, and a moment of recognition, before the smile comes back.]

In person, that is.

It's okay! I was slow too :(

[ He's glad to see the two girls are in such a good mood! He was hoping that the added company wouldn't put a damper on things, though Ahiru and Nill both seemed friendly enough that he couldn't imagine either of them wouldn't be able to get along with the other. Still, it was always nice when these things were reaffirmed.

He makes sure the door is shut tight and secured, not wanting any unexpected visitors (not that he expected anything of the sort, before looking back at the girls. ]

Well now that that's all together, should we start with the movies or the grub?

You are both forgiven!

[reassures]

[Oh-- Ahiru remembered her. She hasn't quite been expecting that, though she doesn't mind. Her smile widens the slightest bit, and after pulling the NV back to type something she holds it up for both of them to see.]

We could order the food, and start a movie while we wait for it to get here.
