Being alone was something that she was used to. Even before she had found herself in this world, Lieselotte had spent most of her time alone. It was not the sort of thing that really bothered her. She had plenty of good reasons to want to be alone. Most people who had come to know her had little interest in her as a person. Those who didn't know anything about her past treated her like a foolish, simple-minded little child. Those who did know it either feared or disliked her. There had been very people who didn't fit into those two groups. It made it very easy to enjoy being alone.
And yet, there was still a part of her that hated it. That was why, despite how much she might try and claim otherwise, she still sought out the company of others. Today was one such day. A day filled with boredom, one spent alone like so many other. Something had compelled her to leave her personal corner of the house she'd been staying in. She hadn't had any particular destination in her head when she'd done so, but had ended up the same place she had several times in the past when she had done something similar, a place which was all but foreign to her. A playground was the sort of place that a normal child might have fun, but she had no memory of ever being normal.
This is why the pale-skinned young girl sat in a corner of a public playground. There were a few other children around, but they seemed content to avoid her. She certainly gave off an aura that made it seem like she wanted to be alone. Dressed in black, she sat on a swing, swaying only a little. On the ground next to her sat something she was rarely seen without, an object that looked like a suitcase. She didn't seem to be having much in the way of fun. Instead, her red eyes darted between the 'normal' children. A little part of her envied them. Even if she decided to completely alter her attitude towards life and people, she would still stand out because of her looks. There was no way she could ever simple fit in.
