[closed] mother told me, yeah she told me, I'd meet girls like you
Who: Dean, Syrena, and maybe Sam a little later.
What: Dinner, a show, and a sleep over.
Where: A sushi joint and an old fashioned club thing.
Warnings: IDK. Don't think so.
[True to his word Dean pulls up in the truck as close to the pier as he can get because he knows Syrena's not gonna want to walk very far.
He leaves the truck and keeps the keys in his hand. He's got some clothes from Buffy and some flip flops under the other room.]
Fins? You around?

[Dean grabs a beer from the open bar and gets them as close to the stage as possible so she can get the full experience.]

What kind of music will they play, Dean?
no subject
[Dean rests his arms over the guard bar in front of the stage so that the crowd can't push against the musicians or cave in the platform they're playing on. Since this wasn't the big time they didn't have bouncers or any of the stuff he'd seen growing up.]
You're gonna wanna stay close. I don't know where the mosh pit's gonna form but it usually winds up pretty close to the center here.
/SLAMS DOWN TAG HUFF
Stay close, Dean had cautioned and so she would, holding onto his arm with both hands and pressing into his side. She didn't know what mosh was, but she knew what a pit was and she began to eye the ground warily. Just where would the hole open up?]
Does the ground usually open up during rock shows?
[She had to ask - the idea was so bizarre.]
Do people fall in often? I do not want to fall in a pit, Dean.
no subject
No, uh, it's like a circle. People get in fights.
[He shrugs his shoulder and slips his arm around her where she's holding onto him experimentally, pushing him in front of him so she can see better and also so she's out of the way.]
no subject
She allows Dean to move her in front of him, holding onto the arm that he's slipped around her waist. It doesn't bother her - it's better to have support. The last thing she wants to do is topple over.]
I see. I wish to avoid such a thing.

[He grins and points up toward the stage as the band gets ready to play by greeting the crowd.
There's cheering from all corners and then the music finally starts.]

There's crowd surfing and so much more and a few ballads that are slower and easier on the ears.
By the time everything's said and done, Dean's sobered up the sun's just about down.] Not sure I'll be able to get you back to the dock before the sirens. You mind comin' back home with me?
no subject
No, I do not mind Dean.

It was wonderful. I enjoyed it very much.

[Dean tosses his keys up behind his back and catches them over his head.] We should probably head back before Sam rats me out to Mom.
no subject
[What kind of expression was that? What did that even mean? She looks at him clueless but nods regardless.]
Will I be meeting Sam?
no subject
[Which wasn't true. Sam just cared about Dean and didn't want him getting hurt. Dean played it off because with the lives they lived they were always getting hurt.]
Yeah, he's at home. Just be on your best behavior.
no subject
[There's a bit of a look at the second part however. On her best behaviour?]
I am always polite.
no subject
[Dean opens her door for her and walks around to the driver's side to get in.]
no subject
Even so...]
...So I am to pretend I am human?
[Which wouldn't exactly be hard to do, so long as she kept her mouth shut and stayed sitting. She looked just as human as the next person, although perhaps there was an inherent unearthly beauty to her that others understandably lacked. Even so, her mannerisms were...odd. She understood nothing about this world or human culture.
Maybe this wouldn't be so easy after all.]
no subject
[Dean knew it'd be asking too much to have her pretend to be human but keeping her habits under control would make it a lot less awkward.
He takes the car out of park and heads back to his apartment.]
no subject
[Really, that's all she could promise.]
no subject
Figure you might wanna try your luck with the stairs but if it gets to be too much don't worry about leaning on me.
[Dean grabbed her sushi out of the glove box and went around to the passenger's side to help her out of the car.]
no subject
Let us go inside.
no subject
You're luck me and Sam aren't too far up.
