[Jane knows she's made the right decision, deep down. She can see the worry in Jesse's eyes when she tells him to wait. As difficult as it is to watch him walk...almost run...away with her bag, she knows in the end it'll be worth it. Sobriety was a gift she just kept taking advantage of. Had to stop sometime, right? Then again...she'd thought all of these things before.]
Okay. We're good?
[She asks when Jesse's back. She realized how much she cared about him--wrong body or not--when she'd felt the panic of not knowing where he was. That had invoked fear more than not understanding how or why she'd gotten to Canada. Jane takes her purse and looks at it, then looks at Jesse, stopping him before he reaches the door, a hand on his arm.]
Hey. Thanks.
[She doesn't fully smile. What small smile there is holds a sadness in it because she knows how hard the following days are going to be. For her, for Jesse. But this is her man, whether he's in some shaved-headed woman's body or not. Besides...Jane never had any particular aversion to women. She just preferred men.
Regardless, when he's stopped, when he turns to look at her, she's surging forward and pressing a kiss to his lips. They don't feel like his. There's no stubble scratching at her face, but he's still in there, somewhere.
Jane pulls back after a few moments and her hand slowly leaves his arm.]
Yosuke? Thank you! I'll get your clothes back to you when I can!
