late night date
Who: judge (
iudex), jury (
littlest_lord) and executioner (
psychopath)
When: oct 15th, wee hours of morning
Where: all over the port right up into Phantomhive manor
Summary: A romantic walk in the Port! Featuring gross flesh wounds and broken curfews. (Oswald goes to pick Jack up for being truant, horrible things ensue.)
Warnings: said gross flesh wounds. Cursing. Gratuitous angst. Possibility of pie gallows.
[jack, all in all, was having a fairly good day. Enjolras was in AGI's hands, he still had til sunrise to sneak back into Phantomhive manor, and hey, no amount of Chain-induced weakness would bring his mood down.
Instead it does, and he's lying on his back on some sidewalk in the middle of Sector 4. His motorcycle's parked across the street, and so is his helmet; Jack's just preoccupied with catching his breath because holy shit, using B. Rabbit was an endeavor in endurance. He couldn't remember it being this hard to use him.
Belatedly, he thinks, he should check up on Oz later. But for now, he'll just lie down on cobblestone at one in the morning and watch the stars. Hopefully he has at least five minutes before any sort of monster approaches (again).]

Didn't Oswald liken him to water, a long, long time ago...?
He decides not to think about the nod (no u, he'll kiss Oswald first if he can help it) and he sniffs at the water instead, offended at life. Life with Oswald. Life is complicated. His forehead is still warm.]
You're mine anyway. [he tells the water, before looking back up at the other man.] Get in here. [he stares pointedly at the ceiling.] I'll not look.
no subject
blood and cream and shirt on the floor, then. there'll be a lot of cleanup to do and oswald wants to stretch, but that would just hurt.
he's still able to look at jack like he's strange (and he is) and ask,] What makes you think that I'm yours-
[SHAKING HIS HEAD while the glens inside of him get a nice laugh out of it, though. oswald baskerville belongs to glen baskerville; that's something that was drilled into his head on day one. his body and soul are no longer his.]
- or that I'll let you bathe me? [affronted!! B(((] I'm not -
[and then he glances at the bath tub.
.........
................... 8T
and just. quietly. slips back over to jack and leans over to snatch him by the waist and QUICKLY UPROOT HIM FROM HIS PERCH to just gently lift mr. pie in my hair into the bath
with him.
c: sweet, sweet water.]
[1/2]
What....
2/2
That wasn't fair at all! [their knees knock together under the pink water and clouds of pie in Jack's hair, floating up.] What was that for?!
no subject
suddenly his personal space?? and the- pie, that's right. aaaa.]
You wouldn't leave the bathroom even if I asked you to, I know - and you were making a claim. I had no other choice.
[so instead of watching the blood mix with the water, he reaches up to start tugging at jack's plait.] Come, now - turn around and sit. [ah.] And keep your arm out of the water.
[yeah, he's
he's definitely ordering jack around now. he wants to start unplaiting this pie'd mess so that he can wash it, okay....]
no subject
[Belligerently, he dunks his head and his arm and comes up with his face twisted because it stings. He makes a face at the slashes across Oswald's chest and very, very carefully uses a nail to eke off some of the dried blood. If he gives Oswald this victory maybe he won't complain when jack bandages him up later!!]
Besides, [he huffs (quietly), sitting obediently between Oswald's legs,] it works both ways. [he hits Oswald's knee, ears turning red.] Use the grey bottle, that's vanilla.
no subject
and it was a claim, because he hasn't heard or seen any justification for it otherwise, oswald letting that stay firm in his mind instead of saying anything further - and. and jack is lacie's, so that does not work both ways. it's a nice thought (...), but- oswald doesn't deal well in the yan lyfe. f r e e bird.
(it is a nice thought, though. oswald will give jack that.)
then jack huffs like he's ten and hits oswald's knee, and oswald almost makes a face as he runs his fingers down jack's hair. vanilla, huh.] ...of course.
[he almost thinks that jack is cute and negates it by not thinking about jack's ears turning red, instead cracking open that grey bottle and burying his soapy fingers in that mess of hair in front of him to start washing, washing, washing! ...even if washing might turn out to be more like a head massage, oops. he'll try and avoid doing that.]
no subject
ah, well. Jack was Lacie's when he first arrived in the Port- but now-- He would die for Oswald not because he killed him; he would die for Oswald because he loved him. Stupid man. Jack can't bring himself to say it again because Oswald is skittish and Jack didn't deserve anything from him, nothing at all.
As it is, though, his thoughts drift, content that Oswald is here and is washing his hair! Yes, very good, such is life. He shivers under Oswald's fingers and makes small contented sounds as he hunches his shoulders, relaxing and wrapping an arm around Oswald's knee.]
Mhrm, [he says, very eloquently,] let- [SHIVERING!!] me clean you up after my hair.
no subject
no dying for oswald. that's the last thing that he wants; he's in love, not- wow isn't jack a little shiver-y, noisy thing tonight? revelation halted, his lips quirk until it's a full blown (fascinated) smile out of jack's sight and he works through jack's hair with that look on his face for a bit.
at least jack's relaxed now for the most part.]
...alright. I'll let you - [firmly (carefully!) rubbing his fingertips against the hair on top of jack's head awww yiiis] - after this.
no subject
[jack flusters, smacking his palm against oswald's leg. he has to be, because wow a man who does the piano also does head massages like nobody's business. jack decides this is going to be a regular sort of thing, right then and there.
he startles slightly like he's realising something, and he removes an earring, carefully removing the backing and rethreading it. He's only wearing one.
He holds it over his shoulder, not looking at Oswald.]
Hey, can you reach the counter? Mind putting this there?
no subject
he's been caught--! and smacked, but it was worth it because look at jack fluster. a regular sort of thing it can be; he'll play jack like he plays the piano. he wouldn't mind it, even beyond the... soap right now.
and then jack startles and oswald blinks, fingers pausing as he waits for whatever jack's doing- ah. why only one-? something about that feels - off, and oswald can't place why or what it is. (
attention, forgiveness, penance, what is it that you wanted, jack don't look at me like that-)oswald's hands draw back - because he's done, there's nothing here for him to do - and he dips them in the water to rid himself of the shampoo. the woes of not being talkative-:] I can.
[-before he takes the earring and lifts himself a bit to reach the counter with better ease. oswald might flinch partway down, but it's small and something he brushes off quickly. another hour or two... all he has to do is wait.]
no subject
Before I died the last time, I gave Vincent the other earring, so he'd remember me.
[so he doesn't wear the other one, so he can remember vincent as well. he shifts in the water, and when oswald flinches the water ripples and jack lets out a long, slow, sigh.
he gives no warning before turning around and trying to rearrange oswald's legs so he can like- sit on the other's lap. because. no escape!!]
no subject
starts to give him a far more minor headache when he tries to remember why he recognizes that name too, so - banishing that thought before it escalates.] Then there are three.
[earrings. he has one too, hiding somewhere in the room, and he'd follow that up with again, but oswald finds that he doesn't mind if jack thinks that he was never present. it's just a feeling, but.
he'll trust it for now.
and then jack sighs and turns around and oswald is met with the spectacle of jack trying to rearrange his legs, wow. no, no, no, mr soap in my hair-- oswald was a very relaxed thing before this--! ex...cept that he eventually gives in to whatever jack's planning on doing and - and his lap is a perch he'll only give up this once. B(]
no subject
[he murmurs in reply, lazy and docile and he grimaces slightly at how red the water is. He pokes a finger in the middle of oswald's clavicle:]
Don't be this careless again.
[he orders (like he has every right to), before patting blindly for the tub's plug and pulling it; a twist of his wrist and he's flushing the tub out with clean water because ew oswald cells gross!
once that's done he reaches for a washcloth, wriggles himself comfortable in oswald's lap (watching him carefully because-- well, because hey at least he's still wearing pants hush) and starts scrubbing at the dried streaks of blood.]
Hey- if- you don't like me being so close, just tell me.
[if you don't like me being in your tub or bed or life...
(yan lyfe dictates that he set everything on fire; there's a 75% chance that that is what will happen.)]
no subject
Even if you tell me that, it's not as if I can control what happens. [frowning!! but he'll try, regardless, because certainly he's strong enough, and leans back to prepare himself for more happy yandere hour, because that's all he can ever do.
like. the scrubbing. and wiggling on his lap, goodness, oswald's frown passes. his entire life, why this? but, jack speaks and oswald doesn't dare close his eyes.]
- if I minded it, you wouldn't still be this close.
[he says it likes it's common sense. he thought they went over this already... this tub, that bed, his life - jack can't be replaced.
(nothing needs to be set on fire! jeez.)]
no subject
alas, jack does not know about that earring; all he knows is that Oswald has that rabbit and jack has that (other)rabbit and rabbit stew doesn't taste very good. No. He considers telling Oswald this sometime. Right now, though, he's busy getting Oswald nice and clean so he can have a nice and clean little Oswald packaged in bandages later.
(just partly kidding. Nothing in the world is going to take him away from jack. Good luck, Oswald.)]
You've to be careful, if you come home in bits and pieces I can't put you back together. [he lingers over a cut and presses the sides of the wound together, water swirling red.] Want me to wash your hair, too?
no subject
and jack will never know about the earring! oswald takes special care in handing it; he'd rather not take any chances. dude, don't hate on rabbit stew.
if only he had been more prepared for jack before...! unfortunately there's not much that could have prepared him for this. leaving will be - harder. delayed. and WOW OW oswald doesn't like this cleaning game anymore. if oswald couldn't tolerate pain and didn't know how to bite his tongue on even his own tender wounds...]
If I were in bits and pieces, I wouldn't be able to come back here. [not home never home can't be home - he belongs at home with loyal family members who understand enough, not here.
and yet he grimaces and shakes his head.] ...if you want to.
[otherwise he can do it himself. as long as he can drown himself after, of course.]
no subject
I can't remember if I ever did this for you. Or for Lacie. I can't even remember Glen's face. You should know, I'll fall apart into bits and pieces one day, [whenever his clock runs out again and he's terrified; jack slides back to the other side of the tub again, shoulders hunching.] and I won't remember anything, and maybe you'll remember me. I'll never reincarnate with you, so don't forget me.
[this would be the time where he very, very maturely kicks water in Oswald's face.]
no subject
honestly, he doesn't remember jack ever being quite like this. nervous and cowardly, yes, but it was always lacie, lacie, lacie back then, and obviously a different kind of fear. jack returns to the other side of the tub and looks as pitiful as he probably feels, and oswald finds that he can't hate him. again, something that infuriates one of the things inside of him.
the water hitting his face disguises his surprise and he's immediate in dunking himself to get the shampoo out of his hair - hands running against the side of his head to cover his ears and run through his hair, ignores the searing pain he causes himself - before he comes up and rubs at his eyes, hands almost shaking. ow ow ow--
so, jack thinks that oswald will reincarnate... almost, but no cigar for jack. oswald's soul and memories are eternal; glen baskerville is, perhaps, the only thing in the world besides the abyss that is 'forever'. he hazards it even as something in his throat catches and he slips closer to void the distance:] - what do you mean by that, Jack?
[never with him and always without him. he will never forget jack.]
[1/2]
it's his last chance to give her the world, his last master plan to break the baskerville chains, the plan z after every and each plan a and b and c--
after that, nothing. there is nothing for jack. not even regret or guilt or vengeance; nothing.
He smiles at oswald, water dripping down his cheek-]
no subject
[he braces his hands on the edge of the tub so he can raise himself upwards, water splashing everywhere as hair clings to the curve of his back.
telling oswald can wait. hurting oswald can wait. how do you tell your best friend that you've damned your soul?
his trousers cling white to his legs and he promptly slides them off, shamelessly; he's just in black boxers with-- ducks on them, don't judge.]
Come on, up.
[1/2]
then jack raises himself up and oswald skitters back- water stings, everything stings when it touches that wound, but he has enough sense to not show his discomfort when jack's looking. he's not in the mood for more moody mother hen.
he's wonderful with the art of distraction and oswald looks away, sticking to the side of the tub where oswald's sure that he would have bled out by now, but - ah - not human.
duck... boxers...... oswald keeps his eyes cast away.]
no subject
the rabbit. right. he'll go cuddle the rabbit.] I need to finish yours, too.
[mummifyin' arms every step of the way! he only realizes that he has to strip out of his pants too when he gets up and. n...o...... his valiant attempt to keep his eyes on jack's face is successful at least :(]
no subject
You first. [HOPEFULLY oswald would fall asleep before he gets to touch jack's arm...
Jack steps out of the tub and reaches for a million towels (four), tying one around his waist and another one around his hair. he picks at his stitches a little bit and oops there we go tie-dyed white towel with blood, no worries.]
I'm not going to look! Honestly, it's just me.
[jack says by the way of a reassurance, handing the towels to oswald and turning away so he can-- get out of the tub with dignity! and pants!
and oswald shouldn't mind jack because he's stepping out of his boxers and shoving them with his trousers. because what is shame.]
no subject
Fine. [getting your way here dude, but he's not falling asleep. he's going to touch a lot more than your arm, too--
why is jack picking at his stitches why is this a thing that's happening- oswald reserves every right to chew him out for it in as little words as possible with his most scathing stare. in the morning. after he steals a kiss and ends that want near where it hatched.
shame is that white dove on oswald's shoulder telling him to LOOK AWAY THAT IS YOUR FRIEND AND THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE, and to huff something tired and exhausted in response. he does look away too, and waits until jack isn't looking to pitch fluffy white over an angry red wound. his pants and boxers soon follow with a towel not that far behind tyvm and easy enough to wrap around his waist and push forward out of the tub.
and, possibly, right out of the bathroom because an oswald in just a towel is a very uncomfortable oswald.
anything to not think about nekkid... well, naked anything. clothes. he will put clothes on, yup, he can do that. will do that. if he doesn't stumble and die first.]
