I wanted to break you
Who: Karkat Vantas & John Egbert
When: Nov. 8, around 3 AM
Where: Underground mall
Summary: Karkat's just getting off work when he runs into a familiar face
Warnings: Language
If there's one bad thing about getting off work earlier than planned it's that he still can't leave the mall until the damn morning sirens go off. Technically he could but Karkat really isn't in the mood to fight his way back home and figures it's easier to just wait it out. He's got his uniform in a backpack slung over one shoulder and pulls up the hood on his sweater before making his way out front. Sure, the people didn't really question it anymore but he still hated the stares he got from anyone who's never seen a troll before.
Which was apparently most of this fucking city and that shit gets old fast, not to mention unsettling and only helps heighten his near constant state of paranoia.
Just as he's debating where to loiter for a few hours he catches sight of a familiar face. A familiar stupid face who apparently thought it was a good idea to take a nap on a fucking bench. Part of him is seriously tempted to just kick John off the bench, maybe give into the more childish urge of drawing on his face to teach him a lesson and knocking that pranksters gambit down a few pegs. But he's also curious just what the hell Egbert's doing out here all alone in the first place.
So, instead of giving into either of the urges he just smacks John's arm none too lightly to wake him up. "What the fuck do you think you're doing out here? Are you trying to get raped or killed or something? I wouldn't even be surprised if the death was counted as just because you deserved it for being such a fucking moron in the first place."
