choices between them

Who: Helen Magnus & Leonard McCoy
When: November 13th, 8pm
Where: A little place in the Underground
Summary: A return and a dinner date
Warnings: -

[ Helen had expected her first evening back to be uneventful, and perhaps to be spent alone (she wasn't going to be jumping back into the Darkness just yet, dangerous living or not), although when Leonard had asked about dinner? It was an offer that she wasn't going to turn down - it would help her settle more than simply 'settling in' (she could settle into normalcy this way) and catch up with him. She hadn't realised it having been away but being back, noticing the differences around the city and in herself? She'd missed things about this place, rather than the place itself - and those things were mostly her friends.

She'd had a good portion of the day to herself before he was due to arrive, and she'd spent it catching herself up, familiarising herself with the city (she'd had a good few months to forget, even remembering it all again now) and, as she'd asked about, looking for Taylor's. To her thanks it was still where she remembered, still open and as lovely as she remembered - and with her tea, also.

She'd taken it to go, allowing her to continue her walk, eventually ending back up at the Tower Aparments - and thankfully so given the encroaching Darkness (she wasn't afraid, but she was being cautious, tonight particularly). The time between then and eight saw Helen 'settling in', or at the very least attempting it - all that she'd had before was gone, to where she didn't know but it only left her with all that she'd arrived with (little at that) and the contents of her room. Given her life, and the life here, the small peace these few hours gave her was slightly welcome - if only for what was coming.

When it started getting close to eight Helen began to get ready, at least the little that she could - all that she had was what she'd arrived in, and hopefully that would be fitting enough ]
