"I haven't really bought anything, I can put on whatever I feel like listening to right there in the store, if it's a used case." He shrugs- right now, he's not sure any munny should be going towards music anyway, even if it's for a discount. But maybe Ahiru meant a discount to friends, or newcomers? There was a newcomer discount of 10% for everything in the store, and the connected tea shop. "Most of the music at Brooke's are secondhand or trade ins."

He slowed alongside her and didn't look up at the Ferris Wheel- she was right, he had been to the fairground before, and had tried out most of the rides, seen the view from the top. That was worth seeing again, but standing on the ground, he was far more interested in the way his friend's eyes lit up in delight as its size.

"Yep! It's probably the best view short of AGI tower, or maybe the lighthouse- and who wants to be up there at either of those place, right?" Another weak laugh, this time sheepish. Sometimes he wishes he could tell funnier jokes, around her. He tries to keep his humor extra clean around girls, and nothing wry or dark or edging off into a little mean or dirty or insulting anybody else.

Really, he only wants to see her smile. And that should make him back off, when he realizes it... but he doesn't want to.
