As answers went, it probably wasn't one of the more helpful ones, but it was still an answer all the same, and given that Chessur hadn't really been inclined to move before (or after) speaking up, it could easily be assumed that he was at least close enough to hear and be heard, although that wasn't necessarily much of a comfort.
It was only as a second thought that he began to fade back into existence, beginning with his eyes and ever present grin. Admittedly, Astrid would most likely to to turn around to see him, but given that was where his voice was coming from anyway it was most likely only logical to do so.
