Summary: it's jack's birthday! time to annoy oswald to death!

[it's a cold night, all clouds and shadow, and jack's nose is nipped red. he's currently out in oswald's balcony, after having to find the stupid man's room all over again.
he was just- gone for a week, wasn't he? why did he move? why had he been sleeping in front of oz's door? did he miss jack? jack just wasn't sure he'd actually reach twenty-five; he always had his time turned back. he knew the feeling, knew the signs, but here in the port, maybe it would change.
he didn't want oswald to deal with the what if of jack starting to de-age, so he started keeping his distance, and oswald didn't even notice, probably. maybe jack will just waltz in like nothing happened, and the other man would never know what sort of fear jack constantly had.
he knocks on the balcony door, sheepishly.]
