Balthazar's not at all offended by that assessment of his accent. He blames his vessel for it, of course, but for everyone who thinks he sounds silly, there are just as many people who like it.

And, of course, tiny adorable children are allowed to make these kinds of observations without reprisal. He smiles at her, about to explain, but the motion as Raphael tries not to laugh stops him short. He's never seen that before.

Belatedly, he answers the girl, "I talk funny because I like to make people laugh. Particularly my friends and family."
