When you're released on bail, you'll be free to move about, though you will have to appear for every court appointment lest bail be revoked.
[This is uttered with a rather stern look.]
Bail will not be set until there has been a hearing; a hearing will not be held until you've representation. That will most likely take several days.
If you are acquitted, then the charges will not linger; it will be as before.
