Had he been able to see outside no doubt it would be raining, like the prelude to a dreary night filled with unpleasant memories. It was a sure bet Damon Gant would manage to annoy him to the point of remembering all those little incidents back in law school. Just his very presence was enough to ignite some of the bitterness he'd managed to extinguish by means of indifference.
