Who: Steve Rogers, Retsu Unohana, and John Watson
When: Forward-dated to 3/21, afternoon
Where: A nice not-so-cozy hospital room
Summary: Guys frozen for 70 years have to wake up sometime, right?
Warnings: Here there be spoilers.
[The first thought that crosses his mind is that he should be cold, and he's not exactly sure where that came from. ..And then it hits him; the aircraft, Peggy, where he had landed. If he'd survived, he should be surrounded by ice and snow, not..
Steve convinces his eyes to open, and the amount of machinery he sees makes him wish he hadn't. There are multiple things stationed around his bed, things that he doesn't recognize, and his gut instinct is telling him that it has something to do with HYDRA. There's something attached to his finger and Steve rips it off; in response one of the machines at his bedside ceases its periodical bleeping and instead screeches insistently.
Oh edge, the soldier is out of bed and standing facing the door, preparing for whatever might come through. Eyes darting around the room, Steve's assessing what he might possibly use for a weapon when his eyes land on a familiar bright round shield propped beside his bed. He doesn't understand why HYDRA agents would leave his weapon nearby while leaving him unguarded, thus he's suitably distracted enough to not hear the hospital door opening.]
