Summary: Loki's curse on all the door's in the city brings two people to reunite after a long time apart.

[Emerging from her coffin, getting dressed and ready to head out to work that day (after being roused by the bizarre choice of morning siren), Seras was looking forward to a leisurely couple hours spent in the manor's kitchen talking to Walter before she went off to start her shift.

Colour her greatly surprised when she opened her bedroom door, stepped through and promptly found herself stumbling out into an unrecognisable kitchen.] W-what the blazes? [Seras looks down and notices a lettuce by her feet, she bends down to retrieve it, then looks back behind her.]

I... I came out a fridge?

[reassures]

[And just a few feet away from that fridge is one very stunned looking Nill, holding a steaming mug of tea in her hands - or she was, at least. It has since gone slack and is dripping half its contents onto the floor at the moment.

Why on earth did someone just come out of her fridge this doesn't make sense.

But-- then the messy blond hair actually registers, and Nill blinks, her wings unfolding from her back. ...Doesn't she know this person?

The memories are foggy - hidden behind a very long time apart and the port further mucking up what she remembers - but realization hits after a moment longer of staring, and Nill practically jumps to touch Seras's arm, staring in disbelief.

She was here? Really?! When-- how hadn't she known about this?!]

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras' initial reaction to finding herself accidentally in someone's apartment and then finding the occupant there is to, quite naturally, apologise.] Oh my God I am so sorry! I don't know how I got here! I was just walking through a door at home and I was here and I knocked your lettuce... on... the floor...

[She starts. Seras knows this girl even as Nill recognises her.] O-oh! You're... Nill! Nill! [Instantly a beaming smile spreads across her face. How could she not recognise this pretty young woman with her delicate wings, though now older than Seras remembers.]

[reassures]

[An excited grin immediately spreads across Nill's face, and she wraps her fingers lightly around Seras's arm, growing all the more excited when, yes, she's very much there!

Oh, it was so much more than okay, she really didn't care about the lettuce. Nill bobs her head, yes, she was most definitely Nill, and this person was Seras, and-- did Shika know she was here? Oh, she hoped so. He'd be so happy to see her again.

She pauses a moment, and then wraps her arms around Seras in a hug. Oh, it's so good to see you again. You'll have to pardon the hug, Seras, she's just really happy right now.]

[bloodthirsts]

[The hug does indeed startle her for a few seconds, then Seras' smile returns strong as ever and she wraps her arms back around the girl, gently of course.]

Hi! Oh goodness it's nice to see you again! Is this your place? O-oh of course it is, what am I saying? [She laughs a little.] How are you? [Seras remembers Nill can't talk, of course.]

[reassures]

[She doesn't keep Seras in the hug for long at all, and pulls away after a moment to smile up at her again. She holds up a finger, and takes a step back, fishing her NV from her pocket. In two seconds she has a message typed up, clearly quite used to that form of communication now.]

This is the boarding house.

I'm good!

How are you?

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras tilts her head to read. The Boarding House...] Is this where Shika was living before?

I'm glad you're alright and I'm good myself, thanks. [She gestures at her uniform.] I'm settled in, as you can see.

[reassures]

[An enthusiastic nod, yes! That was exactly right. Seras was as smart as ever.

But that also meant she'd spoken with Shika, which was wonderful to hear.]

You haven't been here long, have you?

[bloodthirsts]

I arrived in... mid-January I think. And I found a lot of people from my world, so much happened... [Seras looks guilty.] I'm sorry I didn't come see you, Shika told me you were here.

[reassures]

[Nill shakes her head, the smile on her face never wavering.]

It's okay. Things get busy here-- especially if there are people from your world!

What are they like?

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras is relieved, she'd hate for Nill to think she didn't care about her.]

Oh they're um, an interesting bunch, alright. Three of them are from back before I was even born! Then my Master and Miss Integra showed up... they're all, uh, a bit on the eccentric side, you know.

[reassures]

[Before she was even born? That's a little confusing, but... with the way things worked here, she supposes it isn't a far-fetched idea, really. But how would you ever know if someone was from your world if they were from before you were ever born, unless they were famous?

...It sounds like Seras knows some interesting people.]

Are you close with them?

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras seems to belatedly realise that probably was confusing.] I mean that, ah, one person I knew them when they're an old man in my time, here he's just a teenager.

[Her next question gives Seras pause, it's not something she's often thought that much about. Master, Integra, Walter...] They're people I'd trust with my life.

[reassures]

[Oh! That made way more sense. Nill knew lots of people that had been born before her, and putting it into that sort of context, it sounded much more reasonable. ...gosh, that must've been a cool experience. Nill doesn't quite remember who, but she knows there were a lot of people she would have liked to know as teenagers once upon a time.

Nill gets brief little flashes of the people as Seras thinks about them though... and it was good, she thought. Even better that Seras could still connect with them.]

I'm glad they're here.

[bloodthirsts]

Me too. [She smiles softly.] I'm glad you're here too, you and Shika. Just wish I'd gotten here sooner. Have you been alright?

[reassures]

You're here now. [That was the important thing - and she was really glad Seras had made it here at all. The future didn't look very good for the people they'd left behind...

There's a brief pause, before Nill smiles a little more widely, and offers a thumbs up.

It's easy to lie every so often when you don't have words to trip over.]

[bloodthirsts]

Yeah, yeah that's right. [Seras smiles at her.] You've really grown.

[reassures]

[Nill giggles a little, though her cheeks do go a little red. Everyone treated her like she was so young, sometimes she didn't think she'd changed much on the outside.]

I think I got a little taller!

[bloodthirsts]

You have! [Seras holds out her hand to the top of Nill's head.] Definately taller. You must be nearly an adult now.

[reassures]

Nearly? [If Nill were a different person, she'd probably huff. Mostly she just seems amused.]

I'm 18!
