Once up the steps to her place and away from the restaurant kitchen, the noice quelled, leaving them in silence for ab it. She didn’t mind the lack of chitchat over how her day was or any of that. She dropped some mail off on a counter and just expected him to make himself at home, as she had pretty much come to figure this was an alternative home for him now. Tossing the keys in a basket on the counter as well she pulled off a coat and tossed it on a hook, stretching.
“A favor? Sure.” She didn’t mind him owing her favors. She liked it when people were in her debt after all. Besides, she had a soft spot for the blond man. Moving over to the pool table she hopped up on it, a leg crossed over her knee, leaning on it to watch him. Something bad must be up.
