Well since my baby left me, I found a new place to dwell
Who: Kanaya Maryam and Terezi Pyrope
When: The day of Dave and Jade's disappearance
Where: Wherever Terezi is?
Summary: Two crying girls crying.
Warnings: Possible pale overtures.
Kanaya didn't know how to handle the idea that Terezi had lost it. It seemed inconceivable to her that Terezi Pyrope should feel any regret, not when she had always kept everything so planned, so thoroughly under the control of her incredible powers of manipulation and direction. She couldn't really begin to name how the contradictory revelation had made her feel- like something had been tragically broken, maybe, a nice vase smashed on the floor with the pieces so fine they could never be put back together again.
She didn't know what possessed her to think she could do something about it. Hadn't the universe proved by now that all attempts on the part of Kanaya Maryam were doomed to end in inexplicable and humiliating failure. Her intentions had never been anything but good. Her results had been less so. To handle Terezi Pyrope would require a skill she didn't even begin to have, but Kanaya thought- she could do it, maybe, she could at least try.
And in the end, she managed to find her again.
"Terezi," she said, softly, not daring to approach too quickly. What would she do if there were still tears on her face?
