Blaine offered him a little smile. "I was worried. I thought that you'd think I didn't want to know you anymore because I left the House. But that's not why I left."

It had been worse because of the way that Jubilee had acted and the constant repeat of the words 'it's a mutant thing.' It had made Blaine feel like he was going to be an outsider from now on. He hadn't wanted to push though, to make it seem like he was trying to make this horrible situation about him. It was easier to leave and hope that when things calmed down he'd have the weird family he had created for himself again.
