Then again, he had sort of built himself up with that comment, even if there was nothing particularly adventurous about his actual life, so he couldn't blame her for thinking so. Actually, he was almost surprised she believed him so readily! Which really just made coming clean about the whole thing that much more awkward.

He reached up to scratch the back of his neck before letting his arm drop limp back to his side. A few more seconds of hesitation passed before he actually responded to that question. "Not... samurais particularly. I fought some... thing with a katana once if that counts?"
