A troll and a nobody walk into a store
Who: Roxas and Xigbar
When: Tuesday, May 1
Where: Some supermarket in Sector 4
Summary: Small talk while stuck in the checkout line. No, really.
[Roxas doesn't feel like heading straight home after he finishes his shift, so instead he walks to the nice grocery store. It's a little farther away from their apartment than some, but they've got a better selection and the prices aren't hideous.
Except it seems like everyone else in the sector has had the same idea, because the line is huge by the time he brings his basket to the checkout. To make matters worse, only two registers are open. He could leave now, but the other store definitely won't have some of the more exotic fruit he's got, and it'd be really good in ice cream.
Well, no other choice. He'll just have to be patient and wait. It's not so bad, really. He can check out the network and maybe be a little bored. What's the worst that could happen?]

Right now, it just so happens to be the one-eyed dude with a half-filled grocery carts pulling up behind Roxas. He's buying some staples (coffee, beer, cheddar cheese, creamer, milk, etc), as well as a few other things.
He announces himself in short order. ]
Well, well.
[ He smirks lightly. ]
Fancy meeting you here.

Xigbar? Going shopping?]
Seriously? [Blink. Blink.] You're buying groceries?
no subject
He gestures emphatically. ]
Someone's gotta do it, tiger.
[ And it's not like Xemnas would know what to buy, anyways. ]
You didn't think we subsisted on air, did you?
no subject
Don't call me that.
[It's an automatic response, and not one that carries much hope of success.]
I know you eat. My memory's not that bad. I just wouldn't have expected you to buy food yourself.
no subject
Heh.
[ A brief exhalation of amusement -- he's never going to stop with the nicknames, and Roxas should know it. ]
If I've got the time, why shouldn't I?
[ He peers at Roxas's cart. ]
What've you got?
...oh my GOD would you believe I thought it was your tag for weeks 8(
Luxord has time. You're the one who should be busy running a company or something.
[But he sighs, shrugs in resignation and allows Xigbar to look at what he's got. Some fruit, deodorant, a huge bag of cheese curls, some girly bathroom soap, a few more assorted items.]
it's okaaaaay
Who says I don't, kiddo?
Even CBO's get downtime.
[ He peers into Roxas's cart. After taking inventory, he leans back and chuckles. ]
Growing up to be a responsible little dude, aren'tcha?

I guess I figured you had better things to do with it.
[Another shrug.] No Dusks to do stuff for me. They'd probably scare the cats anyway.
