OPEN!
Who:Yosuke and anyone who feels like hanging out in the park.
When:Any time between him getting tossed in the clinker and kicked back out. So, during the first half of the month of May.
Where:The park! Or a city street. Anywhere there might be some trash that needs picking up by delinquents kids.
Summary:If you've ever wanted an excuse to have your character bump into him, here's a good one? Hah, I don't know. He's just going to pick up trash and whine about it. Maybe accidentally uncover a snake and squeal like a little girl. Nothing very heavy going on here right now.
Warnings:Orange jumpsuits, ankle bracelets, and lots of complaining about being made to do actual hard work. Possibly trying to barter a soda off someone or something dumb like that. But no real warnings!
OOC note:I posted something for visiting him on the inside before and then realized it was hard for people without close CR to tag (sorry guys I'm dumb) so I asked if it would be cool to post one that was similar but more inclusive to everyone. Good news, it got the okay, and here it is!
Prose and [action] tags are both fine by me!
It's not a bad day out. The wind is whipping things around a bit, but the sun is shining for once. It's bright and clear and aside from being a little chilly for mid spring, it's not bad out at all. The birds are singing in the trees, there are flowers rustling in the breeze, and there are plenty of kids at play dropping juice boxes in the grass.
A daydreamy looking kid is standing around in an ugly jumpsuit, occasionally picking up a bit of litter and tossing it into a sack. But he's mostly just looking around at everything like he's never seen it before.
To people who know him, the lack of headphones might be a little startling. But to pretty much anyone else he just looks like a normal kid. Who happens to have a number printed on his clothing. And a tracking collar around his ankle. And an odd sort of fondness for the dapples the leaves make on the back of his hands when he holds them up under the light.
He'd probably be about the last guy you'd expect to steal your car. But that's exactly why he's picking up trash today. Go figure, huh?

I think I'm over it.

...Oh. That made a lot of sense.]
Maybe yellow? Or red.

[He's a little distracted now, thinking of institutional colors and naturally, institutions. It's hard to even pretend to smile when he's suddenly dreading the moment they call him back to the van.]
no subject
What colors do you like?

[Questions like that are surprisingly difficult. He could tell her what's trending without even thinking about it, but what does he like? That's a whole different story.]
It's like you said, right? Something cheerful would be good...
wow fuck how did I miss this :|
She'd have to make an effort to ask him what he liked more often.]
It would. But that isn't an answer.
I thought you just abandoned me tbh. /huff
[It's uncomfortable, to realize that she knows that he doesn't know. Normally that doesn't matter, all he has to do is fake it.]
I'M SORRY 8(
You should pick something you like. It doesn't need to be now.
well okay...
[He ducks his head a bit, trying to get his hair to fall into his face. It doesn't reach, though. They cut his hair for him too, unfortunately. The flush on his cheeks and the slight frown are fully visible. It's an oddly naked feeling, and he scrambles to think of a distraction.]
H-how is everyone? Out there, I mean. Uh. Out here. How are people? No one's dead or kidnapped or anything since I last heard, right?
<3
Everyone's fine. I've been keeping an eye on them.

I always do my best to.

None of them can even pronounce my name. The whole thing is only six syllables.

It doesn't seem like they're trying very hard.

It was good to see you.

[She reaches for his hand, though, to curl her fingers around his. It's meant to be reassuring.]
I'll see you again soon.

[Resentful, frustrated, and furious is the look he sends to the warden. But there's no arguing and he knows it. The look Nill gets is reluctant and heavy hearted, but also grateful. He lifts her hand and gives it a quick, affectionate peck before he turns to get back to work and lets her go.]
I'll come see you as soon as they let me out, alright? If anyone asks [that bitter feeling again] tell them I'm fine, okay?
no subject
It wasn't like she cared about justice, though.
Nill's cheeks immediately flush pink at the peck though, the feathers on her wings ruffling up, but she still manages a smile when she nods.]
I will.
[It's a lie, since she's going to message Souji right after this, but hey, otherwise she doesn't plan on saying much.]
Later, Yosuke.
