I've been talking to God don't know

Who: Zach, Michael and Lucifer
When: Thursday
Where: The archangels' pad
Summary: Michael's go-to angel has arrived and seeks out his boss.
Warnings: It's Zach and Lucifer. :|

The moment an angel arrived he had felt it, but Michael didn't go out to greet them. No, not when he knew that this particular one would come to him. Zachariah - the angel who he'd sent to act as his mediator between him and his vessel, the one who had failed. Michael wasn't even mad about it, not now after spending six and a half months here away from the Plan, after all the changes and realizations he's learned.

So here he was, sitting on the large couch in his shared apartment with a book in hand just waiting for his 'little bitch angel' as some might call him. Fraiser was at his feet chewing on a bone while Eden slept on her perch across the room. He knew Zachariah wouldn't keep him waiting for too long, though the angel probably got held up by the disorienting arrival and the hoards of pamphlet-pushers waiting at the baseball field.

Even though he'd told God that he'd try to be more Michael the eldest brother instead of Michael the Viceroy of Heaven it would be easier on both him and Zachariah to play the role. At least until the angel adjusted to crawling around the Earth with the humans. When the other appeared in the apartment he didn't even look up from his book. "Zachariah."

Lucifer could win awards for his timing, really. He knew how to take a tense moment and make it worse, and when he stepped out of the bedroom and into the living room he was sure he'd done just that.

It took him a moment to place Zachariah--the vessel was unfamiliar, of course, but the Grace even more. Little Zachariah had grown up, and grown jaded at that. Which was still better than the empty-minded drones so many other angels had become.

"I bet that wasn't in your briefing," he teased, meaning the ceasefire. He moved to stand beside Michael, almost close enough to lean on him, silently staking a claim or proving a point. Maybe it was just to add further tension for fun. "Helpful advice? Take up a hobby. I bet you'd be a helluva knitter."

His Grace prickles, the hackles under his lion's mane tensing ever so slightly, but outwardly his vessel doesn't react to Lucifer's entrance at all, focused on Michael like a compass needle drawn north. He nods.

"Understood, Sir."

And then, in the interest of ceasefire, he glances over at Lucifer, replying lightly, "Actually, I prefer découpage."

Lucifer snickered, and gave his younger brother a thumbs up of approval. Michael's suggestion for how to deal with Crowley got a nod, and he clasped his hands and sighed in contentment.

"Isn't it nice when we're all getting along? I knew nothing could unite us like hating demons."

Zachariah beams. "Should I make arrangements for a tea party?" Because that's what he always does: smile and nod and volunteer to go above and beyond, no matter how farcical the situation. It's genuinely difficult to tell how much of the offer is sarcastic - but since it's directed more at Lucifer than Michael, it's probably a significant percentage.

Back to business.

He focuses on Michael again, bouncing just a little on the balls of his feet. "What else should I know?"
