Who: The Teen Titans
When: Friday, May 11th, 5:00pm.
Where: Starting at Titans' Headquarters in Sector 11, going all over the city.
Summary: The second practice run for the Teen Titans, and the third meeting.
Warnings: Possible language.

Red Robin had done something a little different for this practice run. Last time, the group had been split into pairs. This time, the group had been split into three groups, and would have to learn how to work with more people then usual. Even those who weren't strictly fighting could participate in this, since it was more about working together, and having fun, then actual fighting.

The whole thing was simple, really. Lucky for Red Robin, he had a few friends who said they would help out with this; namely Superman and Superboy. Both of them pretty much invincible, which would help with the groups they were up against. While powers had been strictly prohibited, Red Robin didn't expect them to follow by the rules all the time. Which was why, if anyone was caught using their powers to end the game quickly, and by themselves (all powers could be used as a team), they would have the duty of cleaning the Titans' Warehouse.

Without powers. And the warehouse was pretty big.

The Groups:

Superboy Group - Oathkeeper, White Justice, Sugar Plum, and new guy of unknown superhero yet (Sora, Momo, Ahiru, and Jake English)
Superman Group - Cambion, Occupational Hazard, Darkbeat, Blood Rose, and Ikol (Christina, Hiccup, Joe, Amy, and Loki)
Red Robin Group - Grim Couture, Imagine Breaker, Mugetsu, and Squinky (Kanaya, Touma, Ichigo, and Guybrush)

All the groups needed to do was snatch the yellow flags off of the person they were in pursuit of. One team would go after Superboy, another would go after Superman, and the third would go after Red Robin. There were enough ribbons for each person in the group; if there were five people in the group, there were five ribbons on the person running from them. Each team needed to get all of the flags before they could finish. Once they had them all, they were done, and could retire to the warehouse for the meeting.

The meeting is mostly covering old territory, but there are a few new things on the agenda, namely letting the group know about costume help, training times to learn the computer system, and starting real patrols, like a real superhero group should do.

[Amy makes a peeved face at Loki, although the playful way he regards her was something... different. Is this what friendship feels like? And it amuses her as well how Christina was clearly on her side. This was very very different.]

If you are able to do so without being punished, perhaps I may actually respect you.

[Superman had, unfortunately, been called out on something important. While Red Robin couldn't let anyone know what it was, it was enough that he needed to take over for him, after his other team had finished.

Jumping down in front of them, he cleared his throat.]

Sorry about this, guys, but Superman has some important business to take care of, right now. You're going to be chasing me, instead. Same rules apply, all you have to do is get the flags.

[He holds up a small disk, a red blinking light on it.] This is what's going to keep us on even footing. This dampens powers. If you all work together, then you won't have to worry about not being able to do everything on your own. Everyone clear on this?

Shenanigans! [Loki calls] I am calling shenanigans. Are you seriously expecting us not to use our powers? That.... that simply isn't fair. [On the other hand, that only means his magic and not his natural physical abilities.]

It seems pretty fair to me. I don't have any powers, and this isn't supposed to be easy on you guys.

Sounds like high school gym. [She glances at Loki and Amy and sort of laughs sheepishly.] Which... I guess neither of you have experienced.

I have for a while-- a few months, to be exact. I excelled in it. [She blinks.] I do not like school, though.

[He's kind of a pain in the ass and gives a long suffering sigh] Fine, fine. You run, we chase. Ah, do either of you fine ladies have skills at grappling? I do not think throwing a car at Mister Red to pluck the flags from his body would be appropriate.

No throwing cars, please. I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. [He flashes a grin before taking off without another word. The grapples are connecting tonight, and he pulls his out, letting it shoot to the roof and letting himself fly.]

[And she watches him zip off.]

Not one to dally, is he? Let's go. I can try to take him down. I am no grappler, but I can use my sword to my advantage.

[In other words, tripping is the name of the game.]

[Oh yeah. Tripping. Christina's got this. She makes sure her hair is secured out of her face and bares her teeth in playful grin.] I got his left side. Loki, see if you can distract him. [And off she goes.]

Distract. Yes. Right. [Without killing, maiming or property damage. He could do this. Even if it involved a banana peel. And then he's running, attempting to catch up with Red Robin. Even without power, he's faster, stronger and a good two hundred pounds heavier than a mortal.]

[Amy dashes off as well in pursuit of Red Robin. Without using her super-speed, she's still as fast as a nimble runner, but she clearly does struggle to follow Loki. She can't properly keep up with him unless she uses her super speed.]

Ikol!

[Since they were out on the streets and in their costumes, it was much better to keep to their hero names.]

[Christina's probably the slowest of them all- no, scratch that, she is. Even Antichrist powers didn't give her heightened speed for the most part so she didn't have any natural boosts in that department, but she did do enough track at boarding school to hold her own- plus it means Red Robin will be paying more attention to Amy and Loki than her. Theoretically. All she has to do is keep this pace and then dart in and grab a flag.]

[Even without all their powers, they were all still pretty fast. Really fast; Tim was fast, but he wasn't going to be fast enough to dodge them forever. And he wasn't as acrobatic as Dick was, so twisting out of the way wasn't much of an option, either.

Instead, he had his mind. He could solve his way out of the way. Right? He was keeping an eye on Ikol more then the two girls, so if they could catch up to him, they could probably grab a flag.]

[Trip him up, she'd said. But that was easier said than done. How was he supposed to do that? Maybe if he could get in front.... and Loki was a natural when it came to parkour, he'd been running since he could remember. So, he diverged slightly to the side, attempting to scale up while moving forward.

Ugh.

He didn't make a great hero.]

[Although Amy did her best to keep up, she did notice something Christina certainly did, too-- that Red Robin's focus has gone completely to Loki. And for a good reason as well: he was the most formidable even without the use of his powers. Amy had no experience in parkour-like movements. Her specialty was melee fighting using bladed weapons. But she was still hoping she could use her particular skill set to get an edge on their target.

With a burst of energy, she sprinted forward to inch up on Red Robin. As soon as she got close enough to reach him with her weapon, she pulled it out together with the hilt in order to prevent wounding him. With the added reach the weapon gave her and leveraging her small stature to her advantage, she crouched down and swept under his feet, hoping to actually trip him or at least slow him down for Christina to get a chance at stealing the flag.]

[He did trip on it, not estimating the right distance; falling forward, he, he managed to tuck himself and do a roll. Christina would be able to steal a flag, though.]

[Running from rooftop to rooftop looks a lot easier than it sounds, especially when one is not allowed to cheat their balance with magic. But as he sees Red Robin drop into a roll, he jumps from the roof, knees bending on impact to take the landing.

If there's a small dent in the pavement now, well, Loki does weigh nearly three hundred pounds. Jotun density for the win.]

[Amy must admit that she's pretty stunned by that. She wasn't aware that Loki was that heavy. Ah. But she can't be distracted.]

Cambion!

[This was Christina's chance now!]

On it! [Christina picks up a burst of speed and snatches a flag before skidding to a stop and catching herself on a pole lest she trip, herself.] I got it. You guys okay? [That was a pretty impressive dent there, Loki.]
