Third Meeting of the Teen Titans! Plus training!

Who: The Teen Titans
When: Friday, May 11th, 5:00pm.
Where: Starting at Titans' Headquarters in Sector 11, going all over the city.
Summary: The second practice run for the Teen Titans, and the third meeting.
Warnings: Possible language.

Red Robin had done something a little different for this practice run. Last time, the group had been split into pairs. This time, the group had been split into three groups, and would have to learn how to work with more people then usual. Even those who weren't strictly fighting could participate in this, since it was more about working together, and having fun, then actual fighting.

The whole thing was simple, really. Lucky for Red Robin, he had a few friends who said they would help out with this; namely Superman and Superboy. Both of them pretty much invincible, which would help with the groups they were up against. While powers had been strictly prohibited, Red Robin didn't expect them to follow by the rules all the time. Which was why, if anyone was caught using their powers to end the game quickly, and by themselves (all powers could be used as a team), they would have the duty of cleaning the Titans' Warehouse.

Without powers. And the warehouse was pretty big.

The Groups:

Superboy Group - Oathkeeper, White Justice, Sugar Plum, and new guy of unknown superhero yet (Sora, Momo, Ahiru, and Jake English)
Superman Group - Cambion, Occupational Hazard, Darkbeat, Blood Rose, and Ikol (Christina, Hiccup, Joe, Amy, and Loki)
Red Robin Group - Grim Couture, Imagine Breaker, Mugetsu, and Squinky (Kanaya, Touma, Ichigo, and Guybrush)

All the groups needed to do was snatch the yellow flags off of the person they were in pursuit of. One team would go after Superboy, another would go after Superman, and the third would go after Red Robin. There were enough ribbons for each person in the group; if there were five people in the group, there were five ribbons on the person running from them. Each team needed to get all of the flags before they could finish. Once they had them all, they were done, and could retire to the warehouse for the meeting.

The meeting is mostly covering old territory, but there are a few new things on the agenda, namely letting the group know about costume help, training times to learn the computer system, and starting real patrols, like a real superhero group should do.

[Unfortunately, Ahiru's having a similar problem as Jake. Normally, her powers come with a different appearance all on their own, so she hadn't been prepared to really make her own costume. She settles for a leotard, tights, and toe shoes - at the very least, the garments are dark enough that she won't stand out, and fairly easy to move around in. Her larger worry is about the lack of powers; she's sure to make a fool of herself with how clumsy she is normally. As a result, she seems unnaturally nervous.]

Y-Yeah, it's good that we get to work with different people! I think it's really important, for teamwork and stuff.

[Momo nods and looks thoughtful.] Team members that don't understand each other can put their teammates in danger.

[gunsling]

[ These girls are so serious! And about the whole teamwork thing too. Maybe having never really worked on a team before, Jake doesn't understand the value. Well, none the less he'll be glad for the new experience. ]

I'm sure we'll all learn to rely on each other in no time flat.

[plum_that_snaps]

I-i-it's not that easy! Especially if you're not used to working in groups.

[motioned]

[She tilts her head thoughtfully.]

Well, I guess it could be hard to get used to, but I bet if we all try our hardest we can get along really well!

[gunsling]

[ A frown. Well he hasn't actually worked in a group before, and while he doesn't think it wouldn't be hard, maybe he's wrong about that? ]

Well, either way I'm up for giving it the old college try.

[motioned]

The old college try?

[kryptonianclone]

[The munSuperboy finally shows up. He feels a little ridiculous with all these ribbons dangling from him but hey, anything to help Tim out. He cracks his knuckles, grinning.] We all ready to go?

[plum_that_snaps]

Yes. At least, I am.

A-all we have to do is catch you, right?

[kryptonianclone]

Yep, by grabbing a ribbon. But don't think I'm going to make it easy on you all.

[motioned]

It wouldn't be very good training if it was really easy, right?

[kryptonianclone]

Right. You guys want me to give you some time to come up with a plan or something or should we just go for it? [Is he even supposed to let them come up with a plan. Oh well, what Tim doesn't know right now won't hurt him.]

[motioned]

I think I'm fine with just going for it! Um, if that's okay with everyone else, of course. [After all, even with a plan, she doesn't anticipate she'll do very well.]

[gunsling]

I don't see any need for a plan.

[ Because he's not even sure how they could plan for this anyways, not really knowing how good any of them are going to be at any of this without testing out their skills for this exercise first. ]

[Oh, look, Momo in strategy mode.]

Well, we're not supposed to use powers, right, and you're probably faster than us—[looking at Superboy]—so the point of this challenge is going to be about anticipating our enemy's movements and creating an advantage for ourselves. Which we already have since we outnumber you [indicating Superboy again], but we'll still need to be aware of our positional advantages.

[kryptonianclone]

[He grins at Momo.] Smart lady. I'll leave the rest up to you. Catch me if you can. [And he shoots up into the air. ... Oh wait no he's not supposed to use his powers. Well, not a lot. He's not going to make it easy but he'll play fair. So he drops back down the ground a few yards away and takes off running.]

[gunsling]

[ Well that's a relief, since even with the use of the... powers he doesn't really have, Jake can't fly. He's not sure if the others can or not either. Glancing between the two girls he indicates after Kon. ]

Let's get the move on!

[plum_that_snaps]

[She can fly, and with her powers, she can also move fast—probably fast enough to keep up with Superboy. But this is an exercise in strategy. And teamwork. Hence the restrictions on powers.]

[She starts after their target, eyes focused on the body getting smaller and smaller in the distance, and an idea occurs to her.] If we get separated, use your communicators, alright?
