if in fairness is how you see it end
Who: Amy Pond and Claire Stanfield
When: Probably nowish
Where: A street in Sector 4
Summary: Once again Claire’s beans have been spilled, this time by a certain 300-year-old child to a certain ginger space adventurer.
Warnings: Sass, likely mentions of violence.
[ On an unremarkable sidewalk in Sector 4 Claire is meandering along and minding his own business. Minding it more than he usually does, anyway. Dozens of new faces have turned up on the network and so far exactly 0% of them have been the babyfaced Camorrista he's been looking out for. It's been weeks since he noticed Firo was gone from the Port, and although at the time he'd been certain that he'd be showing up again soon (probably seething at being dragged away from his precious Martillos)... Well, maybe this visit to the Boarding House he ought to start packing up Firo's belongings ready to move into storage. The idea doesn't hold much appeal to him.
That sums up Claire's surprisingly meaningful thoughts as he stops outside a bakery and stares gormlessly at a pile of bread turtles in the window display. Their crinkled black raisin eyes reflect something of his inner turmoil. Maybe. ]

Claire tilts his head where it's pressed to the glass to eye her warily, cautious about making a scene. Amy might not cry hysterically over him but he has a sudden image of her pinching his ear and trying to drag him by it to the nearest police station. ]
Y'know, I never had this problem before. Must be something in the water here gives people loose lips. [ He straightens up and rubs the imprint on his forehead. ] So, who told you?

[ Amy might sound a bit confident and full of fight, but she can't deny the sinking feeling in her gut. It confirmed he wasn't exactly who he said he was. Another lie. This was becoming a habit in her life (again), and she finds herself putting up all the walls and defenses now that she realizes it. ]
... Benjamin. Funny, guess he was right about you in the first place.

[ Czeslaw. At least it wasn't Maria this time, he thought he might have to lecture her again. And he was pretty sure Kaiji wouldn't tell anyone, but it's a relief to be proved right. And Chane... had never really been an option. He coughs, realizing what she's referring to. ] -- What, you mean that "Rail Tracer" story? Well, yeah, it was all true. [ In a dismissive tone of voice that suggests the truth of having butchered countless people was not the most important matter here. ] It wasn't the whole story, though. I told you you oughta watch out for "Benjamin", didn't I?
