"There's a difference between running away and being thrown out. I'm aware of what he did. I'm also aware that someone he loved above everyone else, someone he trusted above all else, his Father, tortured him in retaliation - after forcing his brother, who was second to all of that - to be the one who basically held him down for it. He didn't deserve what happened to him. That's not hearing it from his end. No one deserves that. And I know a lot of people who deserve pain, torture, deserve to pay. The more everyone treats him like a threat, the more of a threat he will be, because he'll have no reason not to be. I know what and who he is - I don't forget, not ever, not for one microsecond. I'm used to dealing with individuals like him. It's how I survived the first couple decades of my life."

Mercy was getting more of an answer than anyone else had, simply because she wasn't directly in that world.

"I'm aware he uses and manipulates....well everyone. But he admits that. And I can live with that. I understand that."

He nodded.

"I'm not going to pry." Yet. "I just find it interesting that Gabriel helped out someone who has a pet coyote." But from his tone, he didn't believe that story.
