Caught in the Rain
Who: Amy Sorel and Walter C. Dornez
When: February 1, 2012. Midday.
Where: The Van Helsing Estate
Summary: Walter and Amy schedule a spar, but it gets postponed due to the rain. Cue tea.
Warnings: Things that may infuriate Papa Sorel~
Fully dressed for a spar in the cool weather, donning a cape over a slim blue pinafore over a black blouse, black stockings and brown lace-up boots, Amy went off from where she was staying in the meantime to the Van Helsing residence she remembered visiting to drop off a Christmas present for her father's lawyer.
On her way there, she remembered that she did run into Walter during her visit to Van Helsing and subsequently received a small present of tea and a fruit (if she remembered correctly). She began to wonder then what role he played in the doctor's life. Her guess was that he was a ward, or perhaps a middle-class boy who was simply swept in by the Core.
Despite the overcast weather that loomed over her, she didn't quite expect that the rain would come too heavy. Unfortunately, as soon as she was close to the estate, the rain began to pour down, drenching her completely as she made a run for the estate's front door.
She knocked on the door hurriedly.

"Blimey. It looks like the sky opened up on you! Come in and I'll fetch you a towel to dry off with."

"I'll be right back. The linen closet's just upstairs."
And with that brief notice, he departed abruptly, ascending a staircase that split off into opposite directions and taking the path that diverged to the right. He disappeared behind one of the doors shortly thereafter, only to return a handful of seconds later bearing the towel he had promised.
Despite the pace with which he had attended to the task, he wasn't even out of breath.
"That wasn't so long, was it?"

"No. You are very quick. You've surprised me."
She draws close to take the towel and dry off at least her soggy hair and drenched face. As she did so, she took in the details of the manor. She was rather surprised by how large it was inside.
"How did you and Van Helsing acquire such a manor?"
