Who: Selim Douchelord Bradley AND YOU?
When: post-siren time, from around 5/16 to 5/20
Where: NEAR, FAR, WHEREVER YOU ARE provided that wherever your character is is within about six blocks of the Tower Apartments.
Summary: Pride is getting the lay of the land! He is doing this with tentacles.
Warnings: I GET TO USE THE OTHER HALF OF MY ICONS AND BOY ARE THEY TERRIBLE
[They unfurl from his own shadow against the yellow light of his room, slender little black tendrils leaking from the barely-cracked window, trailing down the side of the building like ivy until they can thicken and curdle in the dim light of distant streets and alleyways. He's aware of how few people will be out, of course, but surely there's nothing wrong with exercising caution. Do anything else and he'll become careless, and then it won't be long until they're tracking the shadows currently spooling out from Selim Bradley's starter apartment into the night. Pride won't have the chance to do this unmonitored for long; before he trades in his starter apartment for, presumably, the kindness of strangers, this is his last opportunity to exploit it to the fullest.
While his container sits motionless near the window, Pride's true form is busily navigating the immediate area surrounding his current residence. He mostly stays high and tenuously-spread, though every now and then there'll be a particularly large clump, studded with red-pupilled eyes, in places where he assumes there'll be little human presence but enough inhuman presence to lay out bait--half of the point of this is to see how the Darkness and its denizens function, after all. But for the most part it's a strange out-of-place shadow on the side of a building, something black curling up around a lamppost, the crawling feeling of being watched from an alleyway only to glance in and see more than two eyes looking back. He's attentive, he's curious, and he moves far too fast; worst of all, he's getting rather hungry.
That last point stands despite the overriding stench of decay! Holy shit, having an enhanced sense of smell is terrible right about now.]

IT COULD BE LIKE LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. 8D
And maybe a few extra for study.]Helloooo?
[Was she going to have to give up her little project so soon? She liked the dog and its tentacles; it would have made the cutest pet! But then, thinking about that and her other option... if Darkness monsters disappeared with the coming of dawn, did that mean if she cooked it and ate it, the calories would disappear after the sun came up as well?
What an amazing concept! The best dieting ever! If that worked out, oooooh, she could start up her own shop here like this! But that just meant she needed a variety of things, variety being the spice of life and all that.]
Anyone else come out to play?
[She wipes off the blood on her skirt delicately and jumps up to her feet, back to being as cheerful as ever. Mmmm, new delicacies without the weight! But first, she has the book with her, flipping lightly through the pages. Shadows, shadows... something about a shadow? Looking up, oooooh, she liked the look of those shadows. Felt like it was after her own heart~]

A few of those weird little handtentacle shadow things, which is fully a technical term, appear from the greater mass, weaving their way toward the girl. He doesn't have any desire to fight her so early in the game, when it's yet to be determined what use she might be of! But this way he can see her reaction further, even though he suspects he has an idea of what it might be.
He doesn't speak, though! At least, not yet.]

But she's not generally an attacking person (not lately) unless something attacks first, or threatens people she's protecting. Then a pre-emptive strike is called for, after all: better safe than sorry!
Careful! Get too close and she may lick it just to see!]
