Who: Frau, Kevin, Teito... and maybe someone at the medical center?
When: May 17th during the outbreak
Where: Frau's apartment and maybe the medical center?
Summary: Kevin comes to pick Mimsy up and finds Frau and Teito rather ill.
Warnings: It's Frau. That explains it all.
The past few days had pretty much sucked. Killing his mentor, devouring the souls of the corrupt, falling to the influence of the scythe, the guilt from the war... All of it had piled onto Frau and driven him down. He had started off just being more tired than usual, but the exhausted had slowly progressed into physical pain, and finally to dizziness and nausea. He'd been in bed, or at least the coffin that counted as his bed, for the entire day and had no intention of moving. Simply staying awake through the illness was trying for him. The only reason why he still was awake was Teito. His apprentice was also sick and quite a bit worse off than Frau. Unfortunately there was very little Frau could actually do to help Teito.
Thankfully, Kevin had mentioned that he would be stopping by to pick up Mimsy at some point. If it was soon, maybe Frau could convince him to get Teito to a doctor. The kid really needed it. While Frau didn't want to leave Teito alone, he knew he couldn't go to a doctor. With how sick he was, someone would look over him and realize he wasn't exactly one of the living. That was something he needed to avoid. He would simply have to trust Teito to the hands of the doctors and maybe convince a friend to go and check on him from time to time as well. Frau sighed, though it came out as more of a groan, and closed his eyes, hoping Kevin would show up soon.

Thankfully Frau had been too exhausted after the green goo incident to lock the door behind him. Kevin would be able to walk right in, which was what Frau was hoping for. He could feel the heat pouring off of Teito's body, an extreme opposite to the iciness of his own.
Come on, Casper. Just come in.

He held his hand out, palm down, over her head and she immediately sat. Well, at least she hadn't forgotten that. Then, he scooped her up and she became a licking, wiggling ball of energy. Kevin just carried her into the apartment.
"Frau?"
Kevin knew he wouldn't leave the door unlocked, if he was out. Frau just didn't do things like that. Which could mean trouble. A prayer at the front of his mind, he put Mimsy down. "Where's Frau, huh?"
She just stared at him adoringly. DADDY YOU ARE HERE! She wasn't any help. When Kevin peeked into Frau's bedroom, he bit back a curse and raced in. Shit. He could feel the fever rolling off the two through his gloves.
"Hold on." He said, going to look through Frau's freezer. A couple ice packs and some frozen food he'd left and he came back, putting the frozen things behind Frau's knees and in his armpits, then at the back of his neck. A damp washcloth went on Frau's face. Then, he bent to check... oh. That was the one guy. Uhh... "Teito?" That was his name, right?

He did, however, shoot the hand clutching at Frau's shirt a rather affronted look as he murmured, "...Master..."
A blink, and then those crimson orbs cut up to glare weakly at the stranger even as several bone-white spikes shoot out from around the orb to point threateningly at the man's neck.
"Who dares approach my master and what has this place done to he and Zehel? He cannot awaken properly. Speak thee carefully, else feel mine wrath should thine words displease me."

Pooling all of the energy he had, Frau forced his eyes open and struggled to focus first on Kevin (Damn you Mikhail! He's not an enemy!) and then on Mikhail.
"Knock it off, idiot. He's here to help."
The words were whispered and airy, but Frau was pretty sure they were at least audible. Hopefully Mikhail would listen or Frau would need to resort to more serious measures. Measures he wasn't sure he had the strength to do.

So, his eyes flicked down to the spikes. "I wouldn't touch me with those." He said, very calmly. "If'n they're real bone, they'll disintegrate. An' I'm bettin', that'll hurt."
Mimsy walked up next to Kevin and gave a very confused almost whine and cocked her head to the side. Daddy is good people! You smell funny! She plopped her fat puppy butt on the floor and stayed there, just watching.
"Now, ya want help, or not?" Because Kevin just... didn't have time to deal with cranky patients. Frau was sick. That was what was important.

The weapons retracted slowly as his eyes began to flutter closed once again. Maybe it was because Zehel had vouched for him, or maybe it was because even Mikhail could sense the concern and lack of ill intent, but whichever the reason, he chose to recess his own awareness, leaving Teito asleep once again.
But not without a parting shot.
"...His body burns and he dreams of things that pain him, Zehel."

After rubbing a weak hand across his forehead, Frau turned weary eyes up to Kevin. He was Teito's only shot.
"Can you get him help, Casper? Please?"
Frau almost never said please. It was a word that fit in the same category as thank you and I'm sorry. He could count the number of times he'd said any of them on one hand. This time though Frau would swallow whatever pride he felt and use it if it could help Teito.

He tucked a bottle of something non-alcoholic next to Frau. "Drink that. I'll get him t'a Doc." He didn't know which one, but he'd find one. "Mimsy!"
HELLO DADDY! She practically sprouted out of his feet.
"Watch Frau." Because she was a fierce watch dog of course. She just stared at him. Kevin crouched in front of the kid again and put a gloved hand on his shoulder. "Teito? Teito, ya gotta wake up, jus' fer a bit. I'm gonna get ya some help, alright?" He took off his long coat and wrapped it around Teito as best he could. "Hey, let go o' Frau an' we'll get ya fixed up."

He blinked once, then began to loosen his grip even as he started to push the jack off, mumbling all the while, " 'S hot an' who're you?"
no subject
"Listen to me, damn brat, he's a friend of mine. He's going to help you. Listen to him."
The words came out between weak coughs and gasps for air, but Frau was pretty sure he'd gotten the point across. He watched Teito for a moment longer before looking up to meet Kevin's eyes. He could never say the words, but his eyes did all the talking for him. Thank you.
no subject
"C'mon, we'll put ya in m'coat. That'll protect ya, an' we'll get downstairs." He pulled the coat tighter around Teito. "Frau, drink the liquids. I'll get him settled in, somewhere, an' then be back."
He just knew, instinctively, that Frau didn't want to go to see someone medically inclined. That was fine with him. If nothing else, he could ask Magneto to start an IV or something.

A wave of dizziness hit as he tried to push off the coffin's edge and so he lifted a hand to press against his temple as he mumbled, "...A'right. I'll go... but only if you promise you'll come back 'ere? To Frau?"
He blinked, as if trying to force his eyes to focus, before mumbling quietly, "Can't lose 'em again. 'S too soon."

Besides, Frau knew perfectly well how stubborn Kevin could be. If he really wanted to beat the kid, he needed to be pretty close to 100%. And that was only talking about beating him at something as dumb as a nickname. This was a lot bigger than that, which meant it would probably be much harder to deal with.
"Go."

Kevin helped Teito out of the apartment and down the stairs. The cab was idling at the curb. "Hey is that guy sick?"
Kevin just stuffed Teito into the back of the car.
"I can't take you if that guy's sick."
Kevin reached into his pocket, pulled out a regular business card and then transferred it to his other, bare, hand. It quickly turned to ashes. "I'll clean up the mess. SPGH, now."
The cabbie turned around. "Right."

It was hot, his head was pounding, and he was leaving Frau, when the last thing he wanted was to be separated from the man once again.
He tried not to think about that, or the guilt of going to get treatment when Frau was not, and began to shiver in his seat - despite the way his forehead beaded with sweat.
"S-so how d-d-dyou... know... F-Fr-frau?"
no subject
"Now, I try m'bakin' out on him, an' he still insists on keepin' an eye on me." Kevin got out of the cab when it slid to a stop near to the emergency entrance. He tossed some money at the driver and then helped Teito out. "C'mon. WE're gonna get ya fixed up."
no subject
He closed his eyes, swayed precariously on his feet, then chuckled softly to himself as he stepped towards the door. "...Frau always takes care of strays. He's kind like that..."
That's all he managed, however, before the ground started raising up to meet him and his vision went black.

Kevin caught Teito before he could fall to the ground and managed to hoist him up. That wasn't the easiest, but hell if he was going to leave the guy on the ground. No way was that going to happen.
So, instead, he struggled into the ER trying to carry Teito. "I need some help here!" He yelled, struggling a bit. He was used to carrying metal, not humans.
