I swear this time it won't turn out the same
Who: Namine and Open
When: Tuesday, May 29; Mid-day
Where: Baseball Diamond and optional Never Was Apartment
Summary: Namine gets revived and re-pulled after not dying via sparkles and being gone for a week. Cue a very confused and regretful bittygirl.
Warnings: Mentions of death, but that should be about it.
[Coming back to standing on the diamond, Namine was confused. Scared and confused, though not as much as the first time she arrived in the Port. Those anti-Newcomer messages... she recognized them, and not much else had changed in the landscape of the baseball diamond. The weather was still fresh, still May-like, but she wasn't sure what time of the year it was or how much might have changed beyond the diamond.
Namine knows that she's been gone though. Knows that she was sick and she vaguely remembers having a conversation with someone --Didi?-- before just slipping away into what felt like sleep. But it wasn't really quite sleep, not when you lost all sensation like that.
There could still be that sickness going around. In which case, she better keep her distance while she can. Namine still believes that she was the one that caused all her friends to be sick.
Though if no one finds her in the diamond, there is one place she wants to check. Though not having a key or even an NV to call and ask the others how they were, she knew the apartment would be a relatively safe place. Safer than out in the open of the diamond.
So with a deep breath, thinking about the apartment she shares with the others and an outstretched hand, Namine summons a portal and steps right in, a little nervous and a little scared for what might be around on the other side.]

[He looks so surprised to see her. She guesses that Death must have been right, and that she left, but left for what and why, she doesn't remember.
Cautiously, she takes a few steps toward him, but not too close. If she's still sick, she doesn't want to infect him, or do anything bad to him.]
Wh... what are you doing here?

[Looks like her, sounds like her. He and the others have spent so long think that she was gone for good, and now here she is. She doesn't look sick at all. She looks just like how Sora remembers her. He takes a few steps himself, and then he stops too.]
But how? We all thought you were...

Maybe... if this was his reaction, maybe it was better if she didn't come back? People generally were supposed to stay dead. Not come back to life later on.]
I... I don't know. I just found myself on the diamond, again...

You're really here. [And for a few moments time, he almost forgets that he's been visiting Roxas, that he can't just run over and hug her. That touching her or coming near her will start it all over again.
His voice is thick with so much relief. He's wiping at his cheeks before he knows it.] We thought we were never gonna see you again.

[Gosh she... she really didn't want him to cry. She stretches out an arm to try and console him, but she doesn't know if she should. He looks healthy, and she feels fine, but from what she knows about germs from biology class, she could probably still carry it and get him sick.]
I... [Her mouth goes dry and she retracts her hand. What do you even say after all this? To get him to stop the tears without touching him? This is different, so different, than coming here or knowing you're going back to Kairi. They actually missed her.]
I'm... sorry. I'm sorry to make you all worried,

Sora's known for a long time: Namine's never thought much of herself, never thought that her presence meant much in the larger scope of things. But that's wrong. When Namine left, things just weren't right. He did miss her. Everyone missed her.
When Namine reaches out, it's enough to make Sora go forward instead. He forgets his reservations in favor of just giving her one big happy hug.]
It's not your fault.
All that matters is you're back. I'm really glad.

It takes her a minute to relax. If the virus is still around, they really shouldn't be anywhere near each other. But Sora... he really did miss her.
Tentatively, she returns the hug with gentle arms, sagging a little in his and hiding her face in his shoulder. This is nice. It's so warm.]
...Thank you.
