Wade, they are - all of them - extremely proud. We aren't their equals, they know that. Being treated like they are at our beck and call, that they exist to serve us? That is not only an insult of the highest order, but spitting on the friendship they have offered. And it's always a bad idea to insult something which is that much more powerful than yourself.
