Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'

Who: OPEN + Some Mutation Monstrosities that have no business in the mall.
When: Saturday, June 23rd. 9pm onwards.
Where: Club Twins & Crest Theatre in the Underground Mall
Summary: Two more nightspots are hit by average clubgoers that transform into mutation. This time, their targets are NOT AGI-owned.
Warnings: Disco. Possible inappropriate behavior on the dance floor. Circulating club drugs. Monsters. Violence.


At approximately 9:27, just after a secure siren lockdown procedure and right as the city's underground nightlife is heating up, there will be two major mall incidents:

One is at Twins Night Club, which is hosting a 70's Retro Night of Beegees-go-Modern-Techno. Adults of all ages (and a few kids with sharp fake IDs) will be on the dance floor by nine, and the club is packed and busy tonight.

It'll happen right before your eyes: Five clubgoers, seemingly random, average people, will suddenly twitch and writhe as if going into seizures. Their bodies will transform into something ashen skinned and grotesque, monstrous, and they will go into an attacking frenzy. Four are Common Mutation (their powers are up to you), and one is a Woman of Terror (last entry on the humanoid monster page).

By 10 pm, the club will be evacuated and searched by mall security, eye witnesses may be interviewed by press and police.

The club will be given an all clear, re-opening at 11pm, and the party will continue safely on into the night, with the crowd significantly thinned out as some anxious clubgoers take their partying to other areas of the mall.



....Or maybe you were in the mood for a 'romantic date night' to catch the spine tingling thrills (or laughs at the cheesy-lame effects) of a double feature 50's monster flick down at the Crest Theatre. But wait a minute. It's rival the Millenium Theatre is the one shows films with 4-D technology! So...that's that nasty breath that doesn't reek like stale popcorn? And that slimy, prehensile tongue on your neck is not your boyfriend coming back from the bathroom for a little surprise action.

There are two mutation lurking the half-filled old movie theater with chameleon-skinned blending abilities and a 9-inch slimy tongue that likes a good long, languid taste of its prey. In fact, they will just as soon take a sneaky sampling from the necks or ears of just about everyone in the theater before deciding who it wants to eat. Licked skin will itch with a mild rash for the next 24 hours. Have fun with that kids, and hold onto your popcorn!

[Dean's not much of a dancer, but he wouldn't mind the show if she decided to. There were plenty of chicks to distract him with if she went off and did her own thing.

He glances to both sides of the club when she asks, not sure which way to go but easy service is one hell of a way to draw him in.]

What d'you think?

[Like it's the easiest answer in the world. Dean went where the booze and the babes were. If there were both, it was no contest.]

This way.

[She heads towards the right bar and orders a drink. She gets a cocktail, complete with bright pink straw, a piece of pineapple and an umbrella. She gestures to the bartender and turns to Dean.]

First one is on me! What do you want?

[She, for some odd reason, is quite easy to hear over the music.]

[Dean looks at the fruity drink with an amused look on his face but given the circumstances he wants to get as hammered as he possibly can.]

Ask 'em if they have purple nurples.

[Willow leans over the bar and asks the question. The bartender nods, and makes it. Willow hands over the money and turns to Dean.]

Here!

[She grins before moving over to a table. It's always good to have a table at the club. Near the dancefloor.]

The music's kinda funny huh.

[Dean takes his shot to the table she chooses and waves a waitress over, giving her bedroom eyes as he asks for a whole line of them.]

It's cute that you think this is music.

[justwillow]

This is music. It's... um. Odd music, but hey.

[She smiles at Dean. Oh god. What did she get herself into?]

I'm not a shot girl. Just be careful, I can't exactly carry you home.

[Well. I could. But... you don't like flying. So we won't go down that route. Willow sipped her drink and looked across the dance floor, scouting the women out. There were some typical club chicks, but that wasn't Willow's style. Where were the cute nerdy girls?]

Bite your tongue heathen!

[One of the reasons he never got around to the club scenes was because they treated Zeppelin like a thing of the past and that was down right sacrilege in his mind.]

I can hold my liquor. Don't worry about me.

[He throws his shot back, following her eyes when he's done.]

See anything you like?

Eh. I can see the Cordettes, but I'm not really into the "uber attractive and I know it" crowd. Plus they tend to be straight.

[She looks out over the dance floor again.]

I'm not really feeling it. But that might mean someone's gotta find me.

[She takes another sip of her drink.]

I hope the music gets better. I wanna dance!

The big-headed ones you just gotta talk down.

[When the waitress brings him his line of shots he winks at her and she walks away swinging her hips.

He follows her ass with his eyes for a while before looking back.]

Who wouldn't want to? You're a catch.

[He'll just ignore the topic of dancing. He really wasn't the type to dance. Not on a dance floor anyway. He didn't have a lot of experience in that area.]

... You know, there's a lot of people who don't want too.

[She grins at him before taking another sip of her drink.]

What's that shot anyway...? It doesn't look nice.

Hey, I doubt that.

[She was a babe. He couldn't speak for gay girls but he knew he'd hit it if she didn't swing the other way.]

These are the purple nurples.

[He scoots one over to her with his knuckles.]

The only chick mix I'll drink. Try one. They're awesome.

[justwillow]

[She lifts one to sniff it. It doesn't smell nice.]

It kinda smells like a fruity spell ingredient. I'll pass.

[She puts it back down and looks to a different waitress.]

Woah. Think she was hired for her charming personality?

[Or the fact that her boobs are almost unnaturally large.]

That whole witch thing's never not gonna be weird.

[He shakes his head. At least she wasn't some demon's bitch. He was glad it worked differently where she's from.]

Hey. Don't judge a babe by her bra size. She could be classy, you don't know unless you give her the benefit of the doubt.

[He definitely wouldn't mind an eyeful of those perky D's.]

Hey, no judging here. Just commenting on the male psyche more than her classiness.

[She stops staring and presses her glass to her lips.]

See, I'm no good at approaching. I mean, there was once or twice I initiated the flirting and it went okay but my two major girlfriends have kind of come onto me.

[That was a low blow. He figured he couldn't be the only one with an eye for great tits.]

So, what? Chick's don't like a nice rack when they see one?

[Dean rolls his shoulders and takes another shot.]

Well, there's your problem. You're a catch, and no one else is gonna see it if you stay behind the scenes.

[She pulls a face and gives him a nudge under the table.]

[Dean can't help but laugh at her evaluation of the rack ratio on girls. He wasn't expecting it but it's nice to hear from someone other than himself.]

You look great. I'd lay down some ground work to see if she's interested, if she is? Reel her in.

[He shoots back another purple nurple, obvious that they're finally getting to him with the way he sets the glass back down when he's done.]

Okay. Break time on the shots mister.

[She raises her eyebrows at him. She calls the hot waitress over and smiles up at her. She talks, but the waitress can't hear.

She stands up and talks right into the womans ear. She nods and smiles, and might linger to look at Willow for a moment. Or was that just Willow being hopeful?]

You've got a bottle of water coming. Just drink it to try and prevent some of the hangover tomorrow?

I'm fine, trust me.

[He wasn't even down the line yet. He'd get some coffee on their way back out to sober up if that's what it took.

Dean watches Willow sweet talk the waitress and can't help but smile. She seemed interested and from the vibes he kept getting from Willow the girl hadn't gotten much action lately. She could use the pick me up.]

I don't need any water. It's just a buzz.

[justwillow]

You'll thank me in the morning.

[The waitress comes back and Willow smiles a thank you, taking the bottle of water and putting it infront of Dean. There's an OJ for her. Willow smiles her off before taking a sip of the OJ.]

Mmm. So, drinks down, then I'm gonna go for a dance I think.

[mulletrock]

Sure, I will.

[You don't know how much he loves to drink or what his tolerance is Willow.

Dean begrudgingly takes the water bottle but only after finishing the rest of his shots in sequence.

He unscrews the cap and takes a guzzle.]

With the busty waitress?

[He has to ask. He's not sure what happened between the two of them because he couldn't hear it but it looked promising.]

[justwillow]

I wish. But I spotted a ring on her finger.

[She sighs, smiling up at Dean.]

I wish people would wear a sign. "Single, Straight." "Gay, Taken." That sort of thing. It'd make life so much easier.

[mulletrock]

Life's never gonna be that simple.

[He raises his water bottle to that and then takes a look at it with a disinterested face. He'll take another guzzle and then set it aside for more Purple Nurples.]

I'd offer to dance but this isn't the kinda music I can get down to.

No, No it isn't. But I can hope it will be.

[She pouts, and immediately cheers up and smiles at Dean.]

Oh come on. you won't even try getting the boogey on? I mean, it's horrible music I know. But you don't see any of them getting bothered by it!

[She gestures to the dancefloor.]

[Dean can't believe she just said "boogey on," and his hand goes up pretty damn quick to keep her from any other embarrassing references.]

The only dancing I take part in usually ends in a happy ending.
