The setup is probably more elaborate than anticipated. Jesse's paying for it all out-of-pocket, but as he has a drug dealer's income, he's splurged on all the best stuff.

The food includes everything that everyone suggested on his post. Hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, pizza, chips, cookies, cake... There's an open bar for all the alcoholic drinks and a table with coolers for all the rest.

The music is selected by your host, Jesse, who's also the main DJ for the event. That guarantees a selection of varying quality that focuses heavily on hip-hop, rap, and dubstep. It's not always kid-friendly, but it's good for dancing.

General entertainment comes in the form of swimming, beach volleyball, a bonfire as the sun begins to set (including s'mores!), and a huge fireworks display just before sirens.

Security is being handled by Jesse's goons. You didn't think he'd host a Newcomer party without them, right? They're armed and much stronger than he is, so don't mess. A few healers are also on hand for first-aid.

Transportation back to the Tower Apartments via shuttle is also provided at the end of the night. (He really splurged.)

[It's a nice memory to get a glimpse of. Seras is a nice person, and her thoughts are nice to stay in, sometimes; it isn't exactly that Nill does so on purpose, but her own thoughts and memories aren't very pleasant at times. It was nicer to close her eyes and stay in someone else's head for a little while.

Nill does close her eyes, but only for a moment. Just to see it better. Then she opens them again and shakes her head, because she was pretty sure nothing like that existed in her world at all, and it certainly didn't exist in NG.]

It sounds nice.

We could do it here, I think. There's rock pools... oh we could build a sand castle!

[reassures]

[She smiles, just slightly.]

I'd like that.

[bloodthirsts]

Alright then! [Seras claps her hands and moves up onto her knees.] Must be someone selling buckets and spades about, or we can just use our hands.

[reassures]

[You know, this is actually... really great. Just having a conversation with someone without needing to hold up her NV. Fuck being caught, fuck being exposed-- she deserved being able to do this. Just a few times.]

I wouldn't mind using my hands.

[bloodthirsts]

Let's do it then. [Seras grins, feeling like a kid again, she stands and offers her hand to Nill] Let's go to where the sand's a bit more damp, so it'll stick together. We can decorate it with seashells and everything.

[reassures]

[Nill hesitates, but only for a second before she reaches to take Seras's hand and stand.]

We should make it big! Big enough for everyone.

[bloodthirsts]

Big is a definate! [She laughs as they walk down to where the sand is wet enough to use.] With towers and everything.

[reassures]

[Towers... It sounded like something from a fairy tale, though Nill didn't know much about those. But could you really make something like that (even a small one) with just sand?]

We should make them tall.

[Tall buildings were the best, okay. Whoever was going to live in this Castle was going to have a fantastic view.]

[bloodthirsts]

We'll do the best we can.

[She promises. They find a clear spot where the sand is damp enough and Seras doesn't hesitate to dig her hands in.]

[reassures]

[Nill kneels down in the sand almost immediately, unconcerned with the skirt of her dress-- though she doesn't dig in right away, instead waiting to see what Seras would do. She wasn't entirely sure how to go about building something with sand, other than to just push the sand together.]

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras is doing pretty much that, heaping handfuls of sand on top of each other and patting them together, working to get the basic shape of a castle down.]

[reassures]

[Hmmm. It seemed simple enough... Okay!! she could do this. Nill digs her hands into the sand, scooping up handfuls of sand and plopping them together in one pile between the holes. Then she works on smoothing out the sides. Maybe if she just... made it sort of a triangle...]

[bloodthirsts]

That's it, it's sort of like working with clay. [Then she realises Nill may not have done that either, probably never being in high-school art classes.] Or well, like packing a snowball, or making a snowman.

[reassures]

[She did go to a bit of high-school art classes, but maybe not so much working with clay... still, Nill has some idea of what to do, and she nods. For the moment she's set and digging a moat around her pile of sand.]

[bloodthirsts]

Ooo a moat! Good idea. Not a proper castle without one. [Seras tries to mold some sand into a tower.]

[reassures]

[Nill giggles. Moats always seemed like a good idea, for what little she knew about actual Castles, if not at least novel. But she finishes it, and starts crafting the mound of sand in the middle a bit more to be vaguely building-shaped.]
