Summary: It's like a vacation, almost.

[ Ino's at the semi-crowded beach with a spot already reserved for her and Nill, making sure to let others know that this spot is reserved and not to be taken by anyone else but the girl she was waiting for.

She leans back on the towel, hand up to cover her eyes from the sun. She'd have to invest in a pair of those sunglasses everyone else was wearing. ]

[Thankfully most of her bumps and bruises from the hunt have healed up, so coming to the beach this time around isn't an issue for Nill at all - and of course she'd try to do her best to spend time with Ino.

Even if Ino doesn't know what she looks, Nill definitely knows what Ino looks like, and she doesn't have a problem finding her at all. When she does, she smiles and waves at her as she steps up to the spot Ino's got reserved.]

Hi, Nill! [ Ino stands with a smile and wave. ]

[Nill smiles a little, and holds up her hand, putting her forefinger and thumb together in a sign of okay. She was good, actually! Better than she'd been for a few days now.]

[Though now comes the explaining, which she never quite does before she actually meets people for some reason... Her wings flutter a little against her back, and she pulls her NV out of her bag. Typing ahoy!]

Sorry-- I can't talk.

No need to apologize! It's okay. [ She grinned and gestured to the wings on her back. ]

Did you get those here?

[reassures]

[She looks a little sheepish about it, but she shakes her head.]

I've always had them.

[blondejokes]

Really? Did a lot of your people in your world have them?

[reassures]

[She shakes her head.]

Some other people had different bone structure, and noses and ears like dogs, or other animals-- there are a lot of people like that, but wings are rare.

I never knew anyone else there with wings.

[blondejokes]

Huh. Your world sounds ... interesting. [ Ino smiles and stretches her arms over her head. ]

This place isn't half-bad, if you take away the crazy people and the decaying buildings at night. I've met a lot of nice people here so far.

[reassures]

It was. [Interesting is probably putting it way too lightly.

Going to just sit down though. Might as well, it's a lovely day out.]

Do you like it here so far?

[blondejokes]

It takes some getting used to, but ... I don't dislike it as much as I did when I first got here. Maybe it's growing on me. [ Ino positions her legs beside her, glancing at the ocean for a few seconds. ]

[reassures]

[Nill smiles, though she doesn't type out another message. It's always kind of awkward to communicate this way when someone isn't really looking at you, like you're interrupting or something.]

[ Ino sighs and looks back, her shoulders wiggling slightly. ]

So how long have you been here?

[reassures]

[Hmm... She has to think about that for a moment. It was nearly August already, wasn't it?]

Two years.

[blondejokes]

That's a long time to spend here. Shikamaru said most people leave after a few months.

[reassures]

Shika and I aren't most people.

[blondejokes]

I'm beginning to notice. [ Frankly, she's honestly surprised that Shikamaru's gotten this far on his own. She loves him and all, but taking care of himself for four years? He should get a medal or something. ]

[reassures]

[Nill's feathers puff up a little, but she settles them quickly. Nill is pretty sure Shika is the most capable person in the world, or could be if he wanted. But she's always thought pretty highly of him.]

How was Konoha when you saw it?

[blondejokes]

We fixed it up pretty quickly after Naruto saved the day. It wasn't long for things to just start going back to normal.

[ Which was the life of a shinobi. You fight, you recover, you go on with life. ]

[reassures]

[Hah. She's not actually surprised at all by that, but it's... sort of funny. She remembers Naruto coming back from Konoha, barely for a few days, and being utterly devastated... and they'd just rebuilt everything. It figured.]

That's good.

[blondejokes]

Yeah. Konoha is a pretty resilient village.

[reassures]

I've heard.

So ... what about you? What's your village or- I guess they call them cities in most worlds. What was it like?

[reassures]

[Ah... The pauses a little, glancing down at her NV. People didn't ask a great deal about her world, and she was never sure what to think of it anymore.]

It wasn't much different from here.

In a good way or a bad way? You didn't have anything like the Darkness, did you?
