raising money is always a hassle

Who: Vesper Lynd and Kurt Hummel
When: Monday morning, post-meeting (7/16)
Where: Vesper's office in the Newcomer Community Center
Summary: Vesper and Kurt brainstorm to raise more money for the center to help lower the costs needed to hold classes at the center.

Vesper tapped her pen against her notepad. She'd written down a few ideas the night before, but Czeslaw had taken up all her attention while Kenzo was working the night shift. With her being so busy with work, they'd eaten out at least two times this week and Vesper wretched at the thought of another night like that. No, maybe she should put her work on hold for that evening and make the effort of cooking again.

She shook herself from her thoughts and sighed, sitting back in her chair. "The classes are more for the adults within the Newcomer community so maybe we should gear our event more towards them?"

"We need something small," Kurt said softly, trying to think through his headache. It seemed as though this had been going on for hours, and he really needed more coffee. "I don't want us attracting too much attention for this one, outside the Newcomer community."

He stared down at his list of things-- Most of them were crossed out, and he sighed heavily, feeling drained. With every idea he had came an onslaught of possible ways it could go horribly wrong, and his frustration was growing.

Vesper nodded. "Yes," she said. "I think that would be best. Something that can easily be passed through the Network and not necessarily through paper fliers on the street." She wrote something down on her notepad, but it was more of a doodle. "Maybe it can be something like an.." She gestured with her hands, trying to find the right terminology. "Arts in the Park, kind of thing. Showcase the talents within the Newcomer community."
