[ Hattie had been ecstatic when Ella'd told her about Mr. Gold's request to meet before he'd agree to being their client or not. Okay ecstatic for Hattie pretty much amounted to 'YES YES YES' and 'Don't you dare screw this up for me, Ella' comments.

Ingrate. Nonetheless, at the appointed time, Ella and Hattie were heading to meet with the other man. Hattie was probably -beside- herself with happiness, while Ella was wishing she could be aaaaaanywhere else. Naturally, she had no problem meeting with people. But with Hattie there... it was going to be difficult. She just prayed Hattie's focus would be more on Mr. Gold than her this time. ]

[The bell above the door gave a small ting, letting him know that someone was coming in the door. While he did have a girl who came in and cleaned every so often, he was very interested in getting to know more about Ella and her "wicked" stepsister.
