Conner didn't like being weakened at all. He'd survived without powers before, though, and he wasn't going to let it stop him this time. He could handle pain if he needed to. Right now, all he wanted to do was get outside and get into the sunlight. Maybe absorbing a few rays of the sun would make him feel better.

Eventually, he found his way to the surface but not without a lot of scrapes and cuts to show for it. It was really unnerving being able to be hurt by simple things that had just glanced off him before.
He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath as light hit him and taking a moment to himself before he looked around. Time to find other people and figure out how to get the hell out of dodge.
