Who: Luke and Snow (with Ino lurking in the background)
When: Saturday night
Where: One of the fancier restaurants in the Mall on the fourth floor.
Summary: Luke and Snow are out at dinner in the Mall. Ino's watching silently like a ninja.
Warnings: None? Will update if necessary.
[ Ino was fairly certain this would turn out well. After all, Luke was a gentleman and Snow was beautiful, and they already had much in common. She wasn't expecting them to run off and get married, but perhaps a good friendship could bloom between the two if the chemistry wasn't there. And if it was there, then, that was even better.
She had the reservation for the two set an hour before sirens. Ino kept to herself, hair up in a simple chignon and dress/shawl combination that didn't draw too much attention to her, keeping an eye on the restaurant floor from the more up-scale bar in the tower adjacent to it. This would be an entertaining night, she concluded, sipping on a glass of cranberry juice. And she wouldn't interfere with her Shintenshin, even if Luke was making a fool out of himself. She believed in him. ]

I'm sorry...
That must be really scary for everyone.

Just have faith that it'll be okay until you're back home. Good friends never really give up on you, even when things look really bad. [He would know.
And now a waiter turns up to take their drink orders. Luke will wait and let Snow figure out what she wants before he orders.]

[she frowns, puzzled at the menu] Water to drink, please, and salad?
no subject
[He turns to the waiter.] Water for me too, please. And I'll have a bowl of your clam chowder to start with.
[The waiter nods and writes the orders down, then tells them he will return shortly.]
See? Not so bad, right?

It's nice, to have friends who protect you. My best friend isn't here right now, I miss him a lot.

It's difficult... I wish for anything I could see them again, but would never want them trapped in this place.
no subject
Yeah, that's a typical feeling, I think. You feel selfish for wanting to see them, but super protective of keeping them from this place.
You're not alone there.

[The waiter returns now, setting down glasses of water and laying out Snow's salad and Luke's soup.]
Ah, good. Ready to eat?

Luke's been using silverware for seven years and still holds his knife and fork like a kid anyway.]
You're doing fine.

You look really nice when you smile like that.
