Alan couldn't be gone. He just couldn't. It seemed too cruel that he would be here for only a few months, only to be yanked back home. There was hope here, real hope! But, it was gone now. His stomach was in knots as he paced the field.

Eric doesn't have to wait long for William to show up, the punctual man that he is. He comes up to Eric, watching him pace for a moment before clearing his throat the gain the other's attention.

"You need to calm down if we are to conduct a proper search. Honestly."

I did a search of his friend's houses, his work, and every place he goes that I could think of. Then, I went back to the apartment to see if he was there.

Pick a direction then, and we will start searching. We should be able to sense him once we get close enough.

[ Normally William would go into a lecture right now on how Alan's death was inevitable and Eric should have learned to cope with it by now and how emotions have no place here.

But, with all the things he's been forced to deal with here in Port, William can actually understand and appreciate the emotions Eric is feeling, for once.

[Eric jumps a little as Will touches his shoulder. He didn't expect it, but he doesn't object. He sighs a little, looking up at him.]

It's not all right. He was stable here. He had treatment.
