Who: Integra and Soma
When: Friday night
Where: Stoker house.
Summary: Alucard just might have made a mistake when he forced Soma's bad side out...
Warnings: Potential neck biting, and all that fun vampire stuff.
The middle of the night; this late in the evening, most of the residents of the Stoker House were well into sleep. There was one individual roaming the halls, however, especially since the ones he felt posed the biggest threat to him were no longer present. The things he could do when left to his own devices... he paused, a smirk curling up on his face, before he turned around, retracing his steps to the room of a certain... interest of his.
Silly woman, leaving the door unlocked; it swung open easily, and he quietly entered the room to stare at her sleeping figure. It was almost painful to look at, really; she resembled love lost so much it made his heart ache. A long moment of silence passed before he stepped forward, coming to a stop at the edge of her bed, a hand poised to reach out. Perhaps if he hadn't been so concerned with preserving her humanity, none of that would have happened. If he could just...
...his hand reached out, fingers gently touching golden hair, watching it fall away from her neck...

"I will have to ask you, then, to please act like a civilized gentleman, if you so insist on taking over Soma's body. If I find out that any humans have been harmed, there will be hell to pay. You realize that, do you not?"
There was a pause as she watched him carefully. She had to remind herself that this was not Alucard, she could not control him. She wasn't even sure how powerful he was.
"Yes, well, I suppose I'll have to agree with you on that. You've yet to go out of your way to piss me off."
no subject
"Ah... so he didn't tell you..." he murmured. "All the better, I suppose. The boy will learn his lessons the hard way."
Cryptic? Yes.
"Suffice to say, woman; I am not your pet," he continued, the distaste for Alucard bowing to a human's whim obvious. "I care not how much you may resemble someone from the past. I will not be ordered around by anyone, much less a human."
no subject
"First off, you will address me as Sir Integra, not woman," she blurted out, not seeming to care about his last statement. "Secondly, I should have you know that if you create chaos or harm Soma in any way, shape, or form, I will personally exercise you from his body and make you suffer like you've never suffered before. You may not be my pet, but so help me if you do anything to him..."
Integra stopped herself there, not wanting to let the vampire get the best of her. Her back straightened, and she pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose.
"Dare I ask who I resemble to you?"
no subject
"I will address you however I wish, woman," he replied, "and I would so love to see you try. Soma is myself, as much as I am Soma; you cannot be rid of one without being rid of the other. It's a spiritual impossibility."
He straightened himself, and it was almost easy to picture Soma in full regalia, sitting on a throne of skulls.
"I'm not just some wandering spirit, foolish child. I am reborn in this body."
no subject
Of course, she wasn't sure what she was capable of, pertaining to this sort of thing. She'd been a moron to think it would be so simple to simply pry Dracula's spirit away from Soma's. Of course it wouldn't be that easy.
"You didn't answer my question, vampire," she replied. She already missed Soma's sweet, quiet demeanor; she'd always wanted to see him be confident, yes, but not like this. "Who do I remind you of?"
Integra paused again, tilting her head slightly as questions formed in her mind. "I have other questions I wish to ask you."

"Li--"
Dracula suddenly cut himself off with an awkward noise, eyes rolling back into his head. He slumped back in the chair rather suddenly, head hanging awkwardly over to the side, just inches away from thumping against the wall. The body fell disturbingly still... before Soma suddenly let out a soft snore.
Well, Integra. Looks like you just got denied.

Leaning in, she lowered her voice into a whisper, lips dangerously close to his ear, a hand gently cupping Soma's cheek. "I don't know if you can hear me or not, vampire... but I will find out everything there is to know about you. Place Soma in harms way, and I will find a way to bind you, not to myself, but to Soma himself. You'll not be my pet, but his. Pleasant dreams, Count."
no subject
...wait, why was he in a chair...?
...why was he in Integra's room?
...why was she touching his cheek like that?
Soma went from pale to bright red in less than a second.
"U-um... Integra...?" he began, his voice just above a squeak.

Her own cheeks were tinged a slight shade of pink, but she simply sighed and drew back, the hand against his cheek lingering for a moment longer, before dropping back down to its respective side.
"...Good evening, Soma," came her calm response. "You're probably wondering why you're here and what's going on, aren't you."

Sighing, she rubbed at her eyes again for a moment, before fixing her gaze back down onto him. "Dracula decided to wander in here, wake me up, and start the most pleasant of conversations with me."
no subject
"You're not hurt, are you?"
no subject
"No. He did not at all act aggressive towards me. I was expecting a fight, but nothing happened. He said I reminded him of someone from his past."
She paused for a long moment, before frowning. "He said that it was Alucard's fault that he was able to take your body for himself and roam around."
no subject
The last part, however, made his stomach sink to his feet.
"...Alucard did force him out when we were at the lake..." he admitted.
no subject
Sighing, she straightened again and reached up to push some of her blonde locks out of her face. "In any case, I'm just glad you're alright. It must be terrible, waking up in random places and not knowing what you've done."
no subject
"...you have no idea."
no subject
But Soma was different, and she found that with each conversation they had or with every walk they took, she was getting more and more fond of the young man...
She shook that thought away for now, and gave his hands a light, reassuring squeeze.
"I'm sorry. I feel like I've failed you."
no subject
"Wh... no, you haven't. Why would you think that?"
no subject
Her frown deepened. Failure was never an option in her eyes, and while she intended to continue on and push forward totry and help Soma the best she could, she still felt horrible.
"Forgive me."
no subject
"He'd try to anyway. Don't worry so much about it."
no subject
Squeezing his hands in return, she hummed suddenly. "...I've got a request for you, and it's going to sound strange."
no subject
no subject
Really, she wanted to keep an eye on him, make sure he'd be alright, and furthermore... she'd awaken immediately if the damned vampire decided to try and up and leave via Soma's body.
no subject
Soma knew what she meant, and he could understand her concerns. Really, he really could! But like hell that didn't stop his face from turning bright red.
"In... in here? W-where...?"
no subject
"I trust you enough to let you sleep in my bed," she supplied with a shrug. It was true, too; she trusted Soma far more than most others she'd met here, and besides, they were friends. This was alright.
no subject
...he was going to be huddled against the edge of the bed, he knew it.
After a moment, he finally swallowed, managing to move his head in a numb nod. Wow, this was just going to be a disaster, he knew it already.
no subject
"Come, now, it won't be that bad. I don't snore and I don't kick. At least, that is what Alucard tells me," she replied, humming thoughtfully. Well, she didn't kick or move much unless she had a nightmare, he'd informed her. But this was neither the time nor place to discuss such a thing.

Walking over to her closet, she opened it and dug around for a moment, before finding a second pillow, which was unceremoniously tossed at his head, an amused look crossing over her features.
no subject
"You know I'm not going to do that..." he muttered, shuffling over to the other side of the bed... as far to the other side of the bed as he could manage.
no subject
"I don't bite, either, Soma."
no subject
"I know you don't," he muttered instead, burying his face in the pillow. Integra could still see how red his ears were though. "G'night."
no subject
"I'm simply stating I'm not going to kill you, should you decide you actually want to be comfortable and scoot over this way. Hn, good night," she murmured in return, flopping onto her back.
no subject
This was going to be his most sleepless night ever. Thank god for weekends.
no subject
She suddenly hoped Alucard stayed in the attic tonight...
Pleasant dreams, Soma~.
