Summary: With so many new additions to the household, it's only proper to welcome them with a dinner party.
Warnings: A bunch of crazy people around a dinner table. What could possibly go wrong?

<sub>[Ciel hated parties. Really, he did. They were an unbearable drudgery of having to socialize but he could manage to endure for one night. It was expected of him to host such an event, what with the new additions to the household, so despite his desire to lock himself away in his office, he'd been dressed in lovely clothes and had the whole thing arranged.

The dining room itself was decorated exquisitely and the food that had been set out was unbearably tempting to anyone who'd glance upon it. Hopefully, the whole night wouldn't be an ordeal. The last thing needed was more stress.]</sub>

Yeah! This is more than enough, I'm probably going to be stuffed. You too, right?

[retraced]

After cooking it all day I'm almost not hungry for any of it...

[But he still has a small plate of food in front of him.]

That doesn't really make any sense, does it?

I mean, if you worked all day, wouldn't you be even more hungry?

I'm hungry for something that I haven't been staring at all day long.

[But since this is dinner, that's a problem.]

[motioned]

Oh, like - you're already bored of it?

[retraced]

I guess you could put it like that.

[He picks up his fork and pokes at a piece of fish.]

[motioned]

Maybe you could get something else from the kitchen once everybody's left?

[retraced]

A-ah, that would probably be rude of me.

[motioned]

But if you're not hungry for it, it's rude to you to expect you to eat!

[retraced]

But then everyone else would be eating it except me...

[motioned]

You're the one who made it, you know!

[retraced]

Eh...

[He doesn't sound so sure.]

[motioned]

I mean, if you want to eat it, I'm not going to stop you!

No - I'll still eat it.

[He'll just be a little depressed about it. Such is life.]

Did you get to greet everyone else yet?

[motioned]

No, not everyone.

[She doesn't really know what to say to Jack.]

[retraced]

[He frowns.]

He and I have already spoken about...ah. Back then. He doesn't remember exactly what happened.

[motioned]

[She pauses for a moment, picking at her green beans.]

He doesn't?

[retraced]

No. There's a few things that he's forgotten about this world, it seems. It's probably better that way...

[motioned]

Did he just forget - that day, or more of his time here?

[retraced]

It sounds like he's forgotten a couple of things, but we haven't spoken at length about it, yet.

[motioned]

Okay.

[Another pause, and then, in what's almost a whisper:]

Are you glad he's here?

[retraced]

[He smiles, but it looks slightly...empty. Lost.]

I am. It's good to see him again.

[motioned]

I... Are you sure you're okay with it?
