Summary: With so many new additions to the household, it's only proper to welcome them with a dinner party.
Warnings: A bunch of crazy people around a dinner table. What could possibly go wrong?

<sub>[Ciel hated parties. Really, he did. They were an unbearable drudgery of having to socialize but he could manage to endure for one night. It was expected of him to host such an event, what with the new additions to the household, so despite his desire to lock himself away in his office, he'd been dressed in lovely clothes and had the whole thing arranged.

The dining room itself was decorated exquisitely and the food that had been set out was unbearably tempting to anyone who'd glance upon it. Hopefully, the whole night wouldn't be an ordeal. The last thing needed was more stress.]</sub>

[ Gil's not!daughter isn't look so well... Sliding up to her, he smiles back just a little, careful not to be too exuberant. After dinner ended as it did, cheerfulness simply wasn't in. ]

Hi, Ahiru! You're back in school now, aren't you? [ and this was a school night, but small steps, Oz. Small steps. This was a potentially dangerous situation! There could be a high-strung Gil waiting to lurk outside the door. And, of course, he didn't want to bring up anything about dinner, sadly. With how it ended, it'd be ungentlemanly of him to bring it up. ]

Oh, hi, Oz! Yeah, I'm back in school now. For a few weeks now, I think!

Eh... That long ago?

[ hardly, he's been keeping an eye on the news feed in case there was another protest at the school. He'd been fretting for days when that story first came over the air. ]

You must be learning a lot of new things then!

I guess so! I'm still kind of getting used to the kind of schools they have here, and I had to start a new one this year, but I like it so far.

You changed schools?

[ he looks a little surprised, but not by much. He wasn't aware there were finishing schools around here unless... ] Did your friends have to change schools with you?

I think it has something to do with grade levels? Like, ninth graders have to go to a different school than eighth graders.

[ clearly he needs to research more about the school system here. Back home, it was governesses or an escalator system. ]

Ah! My mistake. I thought you were going to a finishing school. [ opps, but Ahiru is quite the lady. ]
